Thank you Mbinky. The last verse gets me every time. I read it through tears most times.
Df, I also react emotionally to good patriotic songs--I'm glad to see I'm not alone.

What does it for me is the significance of the lyrics. In this verse especially it is a prayer of recognition and gratitude. I am inspired by the idea that God and a righteous nation are integral.

I just keep reminding those on the Left that this is name calling, and when one is reduced to name calling, it means they have nothing of substance to offer. I don't know who Steve Bannon is, but I have been trying to learn about him. Here is what I've found so far:
He has a BS from VA Tech. He has an MA in National Securities Studies from Georgetown and an MBA with Honors from Harvard. He is a former Naval Officer and a veteran of the entertainment and media industry.

No.
Where's that garbage coming from?
Bannon was "ist"ed from the start. Racist, Sexist, . . . yawn "ist" ad nauseum.
Rachel Maddow at MSNBC trotted this out when Bannon was first brought into the campaign, citing the alleged racism of Breitbart.com because it supported border enforcement, Islamic terrorist carefulness and scoffed at the tired gyno campaign. The Clinton campaign also asserted it to "ist" Trump because of Bannon's presence.
The "ist" camp keeps going back like a dog to its own vomit.
It seems unlikely that if they had something that it would have still remained a secret. It would have been hammered like a Christmas day drum.
Here's a sample of how the alleged "facts" are created:
"When Andrew Breitbart died, Bannon became the manager of the white nationalist website. He approved or penned articles denouncing blacks, Hispanics, women’s rights, the LGBT community, Muslims, and Jews. He is a member of “Alt-Right,” a group of admitted white supremacists. The only difference between Alt-Right and “skinheads” is the income level." Link

I chose not to watch it when I found out that Lesley Stalin would be the propagandist conducting the inquisition. I hope Trump ignores her, and 60 minutes, from this day forward.

Steven Bannon is not a racist. He is one of the most fair and level headed people in the media. I miss listening to him in the morning.
The left's accusations of racism and sexism against anyone with different political leanings is beyond lame. It's all they got. They can't win on issues and they certainly can't argue that things were better when the dems were in charge so all they can do is scream "sexist" or "racist". It's not working anymore and it won't. People are tired of the rhetoric and bullshit.

Absolutely. L. Stalin went all Megyn Kelly and would not let the man finish a sentence. It is the same shit that cost L. Stalin's party the election.
As for Bannon, I think another one of his sins is ... is Milo!. Milo is SJW kryptonite. Breitbart gave Milo a platform. Therefore, Bannon is the anti-Christ.

On 60 Minutes Trump said he would not take his salary.
Think Hillary would have done that?

Nope, she would take it all and still steal more furniture and china from the white house.
Donald Trump is not a politician, he is a leader, politicians are a dime a dozen, leaders are priceless.
EU Leadership calls a meeting to deal with the election of Donald Trump
England and France Skip the Meeting.
Duncan Robinson in Brussels
Britain and France on Sunday night snubbed a contentious EU emergency meeting to align the bloc’s approach to Donald Trump’s election, exposing rifts in Europe over the US vote.
Hailed by diplomats as a chance to “send a signal of what the EU expects” from Mr Trump, the plan fell into disarray after foreign ministers from the bloc’s two main military powers declined to attend the gathering demanded by Berlin and Brussels.
The meeting comes as Mr Trump appointed his key deputies. The president-elect chose the more moderate establishment figure Reince Priebus, the Republican National Committee chairman, to be his chief-of-staff over campaign chairman Stephen Bannon, who becomes chief strategist and counsellor. Mr Priebus’s appointment suggests Mr Trump is sweeping aside some of his campaign rhetoric to opt for a more traditional path.

I'm with you Ryan, I would absolutely love to see Milo as White House Press Secretary. Milo's "Dangerous Faggot Tour" has been nothing short of incredible. The man is brilliant, he has masterfully exposed the left's hatred towards anyone who would dare to disagree with them. Looking at what he has faced on this tour I am left with the realization that Milo is truly brave and has more balls than the vast majority of "journalists" out there.
