Germany: Students at University of Augsburg Demand ‘Gloryholes’ in Lecture Halls – To Help Relieve Stress on Campus-from the application they submitted:

“At the modular festival, people wished for a gloryhole in the lecture hall center ten times on the AStA wish wall. This wish was listed most frequently (!). We therefore see it as an imperative to decide on this wish in the student representatives. A gloryhole would contribute to diversification on campus, as kink could also be experienced or lived at the university. Sex can also be a relaxing activity, which can be very useful in the often stressful university life. The associated stress reduction would ensure a more positive working atmosphere on campus. In addition, strangers would come together to create a shared experience and living space and connect on a level far removed from everyday life. This form of connection can provide a better understanding of different bodies and can also have an empowering effect, in that one’s own body can be experienced not only as a limit but also as a space of possibilities. Building the gloryholes allows the university to see itself as a space critical of heteronormativity, since kink is to be understood as a non-heteronormative practice. This clear queer positioning would unleash potential for improved participation in everyday university life for queer students and thus increase their everyday life, their sense of security and their well-being.”

The "queer" people that thought this up didn't seem to think about how much this plays into the stereotype that they simply have perverse minds; acknowledging that "heteronormative" people are not likely to want to engage in this activity. I guess they don't care.

It's Germany, so there is a more than a zero chance it could happen, but turning the lecture halls into adult bookstores would have a negative effect on the cleaning crews. I imagine some would quit.

The campus clinic will probably become overworked as well.

None of this could have even been conceived just 5-10 years ago. We have put the downhill slide into overdrive.

That’s actually a great point. I’ve actually heard this discussion that they are not consumed with their sexual identity and sexual provocations but this most definitely adds to what the rest of the population thinks.

Perhaps in order to use the hole, make them first work the hole. A 1:1 ratio should do.

Any chance it someone (or small group of folks) that added it to troll / punk the college into implementing something outlandish?

Like how 4chan does troll campaigns to get lefties believing nonsense (like the ok hand gesture being a white supremacy dog whistle or starting the ‘free bleeding’ movement)? Or similarly the professors / academics getting fake papers published (rape culture of dog parks, etc) in academic journals to point out the ridiculousness of the social justice retards?

One could hope - but Germans aren’t exactly known for there sense of humor.
