Noise canceling headphones -- Beats, Bose, other?
I have a Plantronics Backbeat Pro Plus headset and it's really nice.

I don't have any of their products, but I have a friend who has KOVE noise cancelling headphones and likes them.

Another friend has their ear buds and also likes them. The price seams reasonable. MSRP is $199.99 for the noisecancellingheadphones, but I have seen them for $70.00.

I'll be the contrarian. He's 16 years old. Neither his ears nor mind have the discrimination to appreciate good headphones. To him, "good" probably equates to loud bass.

Go with an affordable mass market one that he thinks is "cool".

Thus the metric system did not really catch on in the States, unless you count the increasing popularity of the nine-millimeter bullet.

I actually asked this question to a few Sonar techs working off of Fast attack SSN’s recently. The following is the feedback: The Sony WH & subsequent series noise cancelling headsets are very good. Bose have a few good Models to choose from. This from folks who know something about sound!

I have a set of Airpod Pros and a set of Bose QC15. I generally use them while mowing my lawn. My mower is 22 hp and loud. I think the Apple airpods are better than the Bose. '

I was on a 40 minute phone call today. I put the airpods in and cancelled all the noise in my house. Easy conversation.

By the best, do you mean in noise cancelation, or in the fidelity of the music itself? Or both I suppose. What decrement in the others? Mostly noise cancelation, or fidelity? Or comfort, weight etc?

I'm amazed at how many great options there are. Thanks everyone!

Mostly noise cancellation and fidelity. They fit very well, but felt very light, but I could not justify the price. They were far and away the best for noise cancellation, and not by a thin margin either. My wife was with me, and she tried them and said the same thing.

I have a wired pair of Bose QC-25 that I use daily for conference calls. Excellent noise cancelling and clear audio. On the rare occasion I use them to listen to music, they excel.

For the portable choice, AirPods Pro are hard to beat, although they didn’t stay in my ears during some workouts but YMMV. If you’re looking for over the ear headphones, the Bose QC35s are awesome. I really regret selling mine.

Bose for sure. I don't love their home speakers, but man do they have noise cancelling down. Far and above every other I have tried in A/B comparisons. It is not even close.

Read the various noise cancelling headphone review sites, and you will see why they are consistently rated the best in this category. Then go to Best Buy and try out the noise cancelling feature side by side with all of the competition that Best Buy sells. You won't believe the difference.

I just bought the Bose 700 and limited use has been very good.
