A voice of sanity in the insane WNBA. This girl is getting to be larger than the sport itself. Not that the WNBA is large to begin with. Her and Caitlin Clark are finally bringing some people to watch the sport but the league and most players despise both of them. It’s crazy that, “No men in women’s sports” can become a story or argument. I like her. I haven’t really watched the NBA since Jordan retired. Like other sports I don’t like the image the players portray. But just in my passing glance at the WNBA, trying to keep up with what Caitlyn Clark is doing, I’ve realized the WNBA I worse. The players just scream trash. The league as a whole is on crazy pills. Nine years to retirement! Just waiting! | |||

IMO the WNBA is NOT really women’s basketball. It’s Roller Derby. If you’re old enough you remember women’s Roller Derby. They’d just beat the crap out of each other on the rink. Why do you think the referees won’t call obvious fouls on Caitlin and Sophie? It’s modern day Roller Derby. And it’s marketing $$$$. . | |||

I'm not sure I even knew there was a WNBA before Caitlin Clark and Sophie hit the news. The more I see of Sophie the more I like her and I loved watching women's roller derby as a young lad. | |||

Wow, I haven't thought about roller derby for a long long time . Our family, with the exception of my mother and sister, loved roller derby, especially female derby, watching it all the time on TV in Los Angeles, our team was the L.A. Thunderbirds (T-Birds) and the female star Terri Lynch.And yeah, the WNBA is not too far removed from roller derby, IMO the skaters were more talented, the fights far more entertaining. I watch all the fever game that can get on my rabbit ear antenna. When the gals are having fun, loving life, smiling, yuking it up. It gives me hope. The WNBA was very content playing thug ball with 200 people in attendance and being subsidized by the NBA. I don't agree that it's modern day roller derby marketing strategy. Instead, I think it's liberalism 101. Having 2 successful white, heterosexual women sell tickets and generate interest really puts a damper on their black lesbian club. They'd rather fail than have white, straight women be the reason they succeed. That is the textbook insanity that is modern liberalism.
