Thermal is expensive... decent thermal monoculars are four digits and really good ones are five.
Even with a very good one, you're looking at a fairly low-resolution electronic screen rather than through optics, so your ability to see and distinguish details is poor compared to an optical monocular or even a night-vision one.
Thermal devices are cool as hell, though. I recently bought a FLIR One Pro thermal camera that connects to my phone. I bought it for diagnosing some insulation problems in my house, but now I want to use it all the time.

I agree. I have one, and take it with me when walking my dogs. Small, lightweight and handy. Plus clarity.

If you want thermal variant I can recommend to look for ATN brand
https://www.atncorp.com/thermal-monoculars. Such devices have great features, including WiFi, gyroscope, magnetometer, accelerometer, smooth zoom, e-compass, GPS geotag. Prices start from $1950.

Same here. I have the 10x36. Great for 25yds and in on the range and useful overall that I carry it in my bag everyday. I think on sale its usually $99

skoniePardon my ignorance but what is the benefit of having a monocular over binoculars? I don't have monocular to suggest but I do own a few Vortex optics and am happy with them.

2000Z-71My daughter uses the Vortex Solo 10x36 or outdoor archery. I was pleasantly surprised at the clarity. The advantage for her over binoculars is the more compact size and being able to carry it on her quiver.

Size/space/weight.
I want binos for my kit but I'm already weighed down with too much BS. Monocular it is, so I'm following this thread with interest.
