AglifterHelp w. Charleston SC’s commie government
They are trying to get business owners to post these, under the guise of keeping out people who open carry, but would really prohibit all manner of carry.

BigSwedeThat sucks, signs don't mean squat in GA
Are they openly advertising or pushing these signs?

Tailhook 84What are the requirements for the posting of the sign? (Location, sign size, font size, etc.)
What are the owner's responsibility for informing someone they are in violation of their sign and allowing the concealed carrier the opportunity to leave the premises immediately?
What are the penalties if you fail to notice the sign and get caught carrying concealed on premises?
Just curious if there's some loopholes created by lack of a detailed and clearly written ordinance.

architectIn VA, "gunbuster" signs do not have any force of law. The business owner or manager can ask a carrier to leave the premises, i.e. "trespass" them. Of course, they can do this for any reason, not just carry. Ordinary employees do not have this capability, it must be an owner or manager. Obviously, if you are carrying concealed, there would not be a reason for a challenge.
VCDL has been very active in contacting owners of posted businesses and explaining the realities of the situation to them, that posting these signs has no statutory effect, and will likely exclude only those customers the business might want, and will not deter anyone who intends harm.
The only place I see gunbuster signs is at VA ABC stores, but, again, these have no force of law. They only serve to generate more contempt for the State Govt. than otherwise.

bigdealSigns like that mean nothing in Florida as well. But beyond that, I'll carry concealed wherever and whenever I choose to at this point.

texassierraIn Texas those signs are meaningless as well . A LTC holder can even walk right past signs that conform to the penal code.
A person carrying with a license to carry has trespass protection under Texas state law. If a LTC holder carry into a place that has a prohibited carry sign posted we can’t be charged, they have to give us the option to leave the building first.
It'll be interesting when constitutional carry goes into effect September 1st. Those that choose to carry without a LTC will not have trespass protection. I suspect there'll be a painful learning curve for some that aren't aware of the laws.

There are some notes about size and placement on the linked article.
It's not a common size. Just sayin'.
