Around here, the projects have been shooting fireworks all night, every night for a week. When the cops show up, the yutes shoot the fireworks at the cops. Bonus points if the cop is dumb enough to have a window down and you can get it to go inside.

If the cops don’t show up, they’ll eventually catch something or someone on fire. They’ll stand out by the road and shoot at passing cars till they catch one on fire. Happens every year.

Yeah, it is all about whose ox is getting gored. I’m not thrilled about the surveillance state, but neither am I thrilled about all the mayhem caused by inconsiderate morons. It seems to me that said morons ruin it for everyone. Sigh…

I live in East Baton Rouge Parish (counties to non La folks) Fireworks have been illegal here since 1957.
When you leave our Parish you'll find fireworks stands just across the Parish line in ever direction.
Of course people still buy them out of Parish and come back and pop them.
Sounds like a war around here.
