Personally, I’m not a Crocs fan, but …

“When most people meet a member of the royal family they would, you'd think, wear sensible shoes.

Not Mr Motivator. Last month, the 70-year-old fitness guru met Queen Camilla at a charity event in London. She had chunky cream heels on; he was wearing canary-yellow Crocs.

This was not the first time someone had elected to wear the round-toed sandals to meet a royal.

When artist David Hockney, 86, visited Buckingham Palace last November, he wore a checked suit, knitted tie and the same lemony-coloured Crocs. (Only, unlike Mr Motivator's, Hockney's looked a little scuffed around the edges.)

'Your yellow galoshes,' said King Charles, himself wearing a pair of polished black brogues. 'Beautifully chosen!'

What is it about these shoes? They're bogglingly ugly – the sort of things you wear to take out the bins or, at a push, to march hastily to the shops on a morning when you've run out of milk.

And still they're everywhere. More than 100 million pairs are sold every year; that's almost 200 every minute.

Their popularity isn't just based on being a handy functional slip-on – they're a style statement, beloved of the A-list and the front row alike. So how did they do it? …”

Crocs are back with a distinctive cowboy boot for the new season Smile

“In the realm of footwear, there's one brand that always sparks debate: Crocs.

While some adore them for their comfort and adaptability, others can't bear their chunky, rubbery aesthetic.

Nevertheless, the American footwear company has announced it is now broadening its collection to include boots - and they're guaranteed to divide opinion.

The shiny new silhouette is crafted from a distinctive Crocskin texture that retains signature perforations for breathability.

It also features Western-inspired embroidery, including the iconic Crocs logo. …” [and spurs!]

I got a pair of Merrell Men's Hydro Mocs.

They look like, and for all practical purposes are, Crocs…

BUT… if someone makes fun of you for wearing crocs, you can advise them…. They are actually NOT “Crocs” but rather they are “Hydro Mocs” by Merrell!

You know, a couple steps up… kind of like saying Target vs Walmart.

Link to NOT crocs. crocs.

Endeavor to persevere.

I have Sheepskin lined Crocs for winter. And regular Crocs for warm weather. I wear them to check the mailbox. My neighbors are aghast!
And cparktd's Merrell non Crocs are Vegan friendly. so you have that going for you. Which is nice!

^^^Not that I care, but don't the "cowboy boot" Crocs just sort of defeat the whole purpose of Crocs? I thought they were something like bedroom slippers or sandals?

Not talking bad about Crocs, but I’ve never purchased any after trying them on over the years. However, I’m really happy with the camouflaged Walmart fake Crocs for $10. I rarely take them off while at home, only going barefoot in bed and shower.

I live close to San Marcos outlet stores, and I’m wondering if the Croc store there has this discount. Many stores there honor a military discount, but 15% is a little better. My family always likes to stop in when we’re there.

They make a pretty decent cooking shoe. Fairly comfortable and very easy to clean.

my wife and I have several pairs of Crocs each. We have the fleece lined for slippers at home and she has crocs sandals. I wear Crocs when I'm washing the boat that I run. They are great nonslip footwear for wet decks.
