Arizona authorities say a 44-year-old uniformed security guard is accused of impersonating a police officer by trying to pull over an unmarked car that happened to contain two state troopers patrolling a Phoenix freeway.

The Department of Public Safety says Matthew Allen Disbro of Mesa was driving his personal black Dodge Charger on Wednesday when he activated law-enforcement-style emergency lights on his car to pull over the troopers' yellow Ford Mustang.

According to the department, the troopers wouldn't pull over, Disbro then drove alongside, yelled and waved a hand at the troopers to get them to pull over before they activated their own vehicle's police lights and pulled him over.

Court records don't list an attorney for Disbro who could comment on the allegations.

To quote Julia Roberts’ character, in that movie with Richard Gere, “Big mistake.”

So my first question is did the troopers know he was a fake and were planning to ignore him,

or do they think they don't need to respond to being pulled over.

I remember a couple of cases where cops pulling over cops and writing them tickets started department wars that played out in the news papers.

This is what can happen when you skip a day at Impersonation Academy to impersonate Blue Flu.

Luckily, I have enough willpower to control the driving ambition that rages within me.

When you had the votes, we did things your way. Now, we have the votes and you will be doing things our way. This lesson in political reality from Lyndon B. Johnson

"Some things are apparent. Where government moves in, community retreats, civil society disintegrates and our ability to control our own destiny atrophies. The result is: families under siege; war in the streets; unapologetic expropriation of property; the precipitous decline of the rule of law; the rapid rise of corruption; the loss of civility and the triumph of deceit. The result is a debased, debauched culture which finds moral depravity entertaining and virtue contemptible." - Justice Janice Rogers Brown

What the heck is wrong with these type of guys? A man impersonating a police officer pulling people over is happening a few times a year for about the last 5 years around here.

I'm sure the state troopers called it in to see which agency was calling in trying to stop that car at that particular location. When it came back that there was no active call in that location, that's when they would know it was a bogus.
