If Money Were No Object
If money was no object...

I'd find a 2018 four-wheel drive vehicle with the same wheel base dimensions of a 1967 Pontiac GTO. Then, I'd put the body of the 67 GTO convertible on the 4-wheel drive chassis.

The look I would be going for would be something like the goat I had when I was in my early twenties:

I loved everything about that car!

* The front end with the stacked headlights and criss-cross grille
* The tail lights
* The body style
* The interior
* The dash board

Oh well. Money, unfortunately, IS the objection to most things. Wink

I'd buy a motorhome and spend the rest of my days roaming the country.

Here's to the sunny slopes of long ago.

The is easy for me:

Perfectly restored 1959 Chevrolet Corvette, Roman Red with Classic Cream inserts for the sunny days and those restaurants that park the ultra cool cars right by the front door.

For cloudy days, a McLaren P1 in "oh yeah, it's an orange super car" orange. For visibility, you understand.

For rainy days a simple Mercedes AMG GTR in Silver Magno.

A mid-to-late 60's muscle car with modern brakes, suspension and engine.

I don't think I could narrow it down to one, but the major candidates in no particular order would be:

1968 Dodge Charger
1964 Plymouth Satellite
1966 Pontiac GTO
1969 Plymouth Road Runner
1969 Mustang Mach I
1969 Chevelle SS454

You can never go wrong with a M1A1 Abrams with the TUSK loadout. On the other hand, a tricked out Excursion would be nice. Mom loves her, and from the sounds I may see about getting her a chop shop job. It's an 03 model.

I would re-live my past:
1- A fully restored 1966 Chevy Impala SS 327/300 with the infamous PowerGlide 2 speed. My first car and I still miss it.
2- Late 60s L88 Corvette. My buddy had a crazy uncle who owned one and he would let us drive it. The most brutally accelerating car I ever drove.
3- 1969 Chevrolet C10 Short Bed Step Side 4X4. Rotating red roof light. Door pillar spotlight. Military grill guard and giant Motorola mobile radio under the dash.
USAF blue with gold lettering on the door. Courtesy of the USAF. My first police vehicle.
4- Mustang LX Police Interceptor. Most bad ass police car I ever drove.
5- Aston-Martin. From Casino Royale. And I have no plans to roll it!

Factory light weight Hemi Barracuda of 68 vintage or any Hemi powered wing car Chrysler made. Factory altered wheelbase Mopars would be pretty fun as well.

Same for me. GT3 for road trips and weekends, and probably a diesel Denali HD for daily. I'd also like the Jag XKSS that Hammond was in a few episodes back on "The Grand Tour".

A friend's father owned one (you mean a 300SL roadster, of course), and he said it was a wonderful car. You won't be disappointed. Not only is it more comfortable than a Gullwing, it has a real IRS, as opposed to the swing-axle the Gullwing had. Much better handling, especially around hairpin corners.

The only disappointing thing is that you don't get to watch a girl in a mini-skirt swing her legs over the wide sill while getting in or out of the Gullwing. A highly-memorable image!

Agreed, Gullwing Roadster is an oxymoron.

For me, it'd be a '57 300SLR.
Then a '57 300SL Gullwing
