J, who did your undercoating? Yes the upfitter switches, there is also a fuse block under the hood for accessory wiring that connects to the switches. Makes adding items easier. I may add add air bags also. My Tundra had them and are nice to have. "Practice like you want to play in the game"

That's a nice looking truck. And I agree, no point in going with anything shorter than an 8' bed. Especially with a Super Duty.

Nice truck and setup, I would have liked to have your old truck.

We'd probably both been happier. I got hosed pretty hard on the trade-in, but I didn't want to deal with the hassle/delay of a private sale. Lack of patience can be expensive... Be careful when following the masses. Sometimes the M is silent.

PHPaul, How is it going with your new truck. Any issues that the dealer has had to handle or just a happy camper so far. Mine has been at the dealer for two going on two weeks and that is after one visit by the service manager and a couple of trips by me. Hopefully by this week a resolution is going to be reached. Hope your situation is good and you are happy. "Practice like you want to play in the game"

Nice truck. Mrs BB61 and I just got back from the Grand Canyon putting nearly 1k miles on our new truck. We still are debating shell vs cover. ![]() ![]() __________________________

Happy so far, no issues that can be blamed on the truck. Trailer problem was that the hot and ground for the brakes were reversed. Real head-scratcher as they worked fine with the Tundra. It had a separate Tekonsha controller so that may have been the issue. In mixed driving (some towing, some running empty) it's averaging a shade over 14mpg which is satisfactory. The Tundra got 15-17 and didn't have near the balls the F250 does. Only driveability issue is that it waits FAR too long in my opinion to downshift on hills when towing. If I don't really put my foot in it it just keeps pulling the RPMs down. I've taken to using the manual shift buttons and forcing it to drop to 6th or 7th. Left to it's own devices it'll stay in 8th and lug. Be careful when following the masses. Sometimes the M is silent.

Well that is good to hear PHPaul. Did your truck come with an actual owners manual or did the dealer say you need to use the truck software system as the manual ![]() As I said I am currently without the truck but was roughly 13mph-ish mpg with the 7.3L when I did have. Tons of power for sure. "Practice like you want to play in the game"

Nope, no owner's manual. I need to see if there's a PDF on line somewhere. Be careful when following the masses. Sometimes the M is silent.

I just got a truck almost exactly like BB61, 2025 GMC 2500 HD SLT. It has a minimal owner's manual in the truck along with a Duramax Diesel supplement manual. I had to go to GMC.com and find the manual and have been printing out sections I need to reference.

PHPaul I just searched for Ford Owners manuals. Clicked on the Ford Owners manuals that came up and put in your truck info. Popped right up. 700+ pages I believe. Of course, a lot of it won't apply to your truck. VIN # search might narrow it down.

Remember when cars (and motorcycles) came with an owners' manual that had a section with instructions for do-it-yourself maintenance? הרחפת שלי מלאה בצלופחים

For sure! Especially in the '70s, that was when if you wanted a car you got a job after school. Old rusted out thing that you fixed yourself, put used tires on it when needed. Now there is no need for owners manuals, except online.

Yeah, I found it too. Downloaded it just in case. Nice thing about a PDF file is it's searchable. No trying to find stuff from the index. Be careful when following the masses. Sometimes the M is silent.
