Loosing a loved one or close friend is never easy. Exacerbating things is when the loss is dramatic or, as in this case, excruciating.

My prayers and sympathies to all concerned tac.

My condolences to you and all connections. From the way you describe your friend it would be easy to think he will be celebrating his release from suffering right along with you all.

Tac- I am sorry about your friend. I took your advice and read up a bit on LBD and it seems like a very unpleasant way to go.

It's rough for those who have to see what is happening to a person with dementia / Alzheimers.

"It did not really matter what we expected from life, but rather what life expected from us. We needed to stop asking about the meaning of life, and instead to think of ourselves as those who were being questioned by life – daily and hourly. Our answer must consist not in talk and meditation, but in right action and in right conduct. Life ultimately means taking the responsibility to find the right answer to its problems and to fulfill the tasks which it constantly sets for each individual." Viktor Frankl, Man's Search for Meaning, 1946.

Thanks again to all here.

His son goes back stateside on Thursday, his wife and three kids with him. Now they are ALL Americans.

Mom will probably join them later this year for good.

Next time you see a Rivian EV, son was the head honcho for the aerodynamics of the design and development of both the pickup and SUV. We are all pretty close.

So sorry to hear of your loss.

I lost my life long friend several years ago. Though we no longer lived in the same area, we would still have good talks by phone every few months. Lots of laughter.

Still miss him.

A good friend is a treasure.
