Every batch I brew is better than the one before. That makes me happy. Smile

My most recent APA turned out superbly, simple recipe, nice clean flavors.

It's hard, dirty work but somebody has to do it. My wife doesn't even drink beer, but she's interested in the microbiology.


White Labs has a tasting room in which they offer beers of the same style made with 2-4 different yeast strains as the only variable. Very interesting! They also give short tours of their facilities. Home brewers, take note.


It's finally starting to cool off here. Time to start thinking about brewing some Dusseldorf Altbier.

One of my favorite homebrewing books while learning the hobby, the author, as they usually do, included a chapter w/ recipes to brew of the various styles.
When he came to his recipe for Dusseldorf Altbier, he gives a plea, "please brew this beer". I felt obligated to do so. Smile
And still do.
