Thanks for looking but you didnt save me anything. You found a truck with less 5k less in options which I want. Rambox, advanced safety package, etc
Think long and hard about those Ram Boxes. I was a huge fan...right up to the point I saw what some scumbag with a crow bar did to one trying to find out what was inside. The bill for that repair was unbelievable.
As to the other options, you might want to read a bit more of the dealer listings on eBay. The trucks I linked to even include RAM's ridiculous (IMO) eTORQ option.
In the end, buy what you want for whatever you want to pay. It's your money, your decision. I simply hate to see people fork over cash to the dealership they didn't need to.

LBTRSI bought my 2019 Ram 1500 Limited 4x4 with zero miles for $55,000 and the MSRP was $68,000. I bought it on Black Friday and they threw in an additional $500 visa gift card as a promotion.
Mine is loaded with every option there is except for the panoramic moon roof as I didn't want that.
For a lower trim level truck with 5,500 miles it doesn't sound like a great deal to me.

hrcjonthe only way to know is to go shopping for the truck as configured and see what new costs. Then you can evaluate used. I'm not a ram guy I buy a lot of Ford trucks and in the Ford world 12.5k off on this MSRP with that mileage would not be a deal I would take.

arfmelBought a brand new ‘18 Silverado just before Christmas last year, got right at 12k off the sticker with 9 miles on the odometer. Most of which was racked up on out test drive. I don’ think you’re getting an especially good deal.

F12517Run the truck through KBB to get a used car value. That is what the truck is really worth. Its a used vehicle with 5500 miles on it...
I ran Ram 1500 through KBB based on your comments and added every option you could to a Laramie and it came up with a private party value of $44,000-$46600. Trade in was $39,000-42,000.
The truck is only worth what you could sell it or trade it for if you bought it and changed your mind the next day. It ain't worth 50k based on what I can see

jjkroll32I've always approached Dealer Demos with the same skepticism as purchasing a rental car from a fleet.
The a majority when given the keys and access to something (especially something nice, unique or powerful) with minimal consequences, will wear it hard and put it away wet if not outright abuse the thing.
Perhaps I am too skeptical, or too particular, but with big ticket purchases like a vehicle I would walk away and dicker elsewhere.

Hmmmm....I think I heard something similar a bit earlier in this thread.

Unless your dealer will offer up the demo truck you're looking at in the low $40k's, I'd suggest you opt for a new truck elsewhere.
