Taken twice a day, a tablet, known as LMTX, significantly improves dementia sufferers' brain injuries to the extent their MRI scans resemble those of healthy people after just nine months, a study found…" www.dailymail.co.uk/health/art...sts-closer-cure.html Serious about crackers

My uncle is in the midst of it now -- he's just a shell of his former self. He doesn't know anyone and can hardly even function. Very sad. _______________ Mind. Over. Matter.

God I hope this is true. I've watched two family members endure Alzheimers right up until their deaths, and it was heartbreaking watching them and our family suffer through their collapse. ----------------------------- Guns are awesome because they shoot solid lead freedom. Thanks for posting. My family is predisposed and I'm at risk. I'm sending the link to my niece as her mother has been showing signs for a while. "It did not really matter what we expected from life, but rather what life expected from us. We needed to stop asking about the meaning of life, and instead to think of ourselves as those who were being questioned by life – daily and hourly. Our answer must consist not in talk and meditation, but in right action and in right conduct. Life ultimately means taking the responsibility to find the right answer to its problems and to fulfill the tasks which it constantly sets for each individual." This new drug certainly isn't going to cure any poor soul with advanced Alzheimer's – they've lost many brain cells that can't be brought back to life. But it might stop, or at least slow, progression of the disease if detected early enough. And folks with any of the ApoE genes, especially the ApoE4 gene, might take it as a preventive before any symptoms appear. Serious about crackers

This could be promising also, if it translates to humans: https://www.sciencealert.com/n...ores-memory-function "Australian researchers have come up with a non-invasive ultrasound technology that clears the brain of neurotoxic amyloid plaques - structures that are responsible for memory loss and a decline in cognitive function in Alzheimer’s patients."
