NYPD gun confiscators posed for pictures after seizing toy guns from the streets of New York City, as real violent crime continues to skyrocket in the deep blue metropolis. The gun grabbers were widely mocked after the 72nd Precinct posted the photos to Facebook, as social media users pointed out the bright orange tips and see-through plastic magazines the toy guns were outfitted with.
In a post made recently to the city’s 72nd Precinct’s Facebook page, NYPD gun cops who patrol the streets of Brooklyn posed for pictures as they celebrated the seizure of “multiple air rifles,” which are also known as toys. In addition to the orange-tipped, plastic toy guns, officers managed to scrounge up a single loaded handgun to pose with for the photo.

While the NYPD is seizing toy guns, crime is skyrocketing all over America’s biggest city, long a hub for third-world migrants and others at odds with mainstream American culture and behaviors.

The city’s massive spike in crime has been directly attributed to the left-wing policies of its Democrat government, even by Democrats within that very government, who have sought to shift blame towards their Democrat predecessors and colleagues.

According to NYPD crime stats, the city experienced a spike in nearly every single criminal category over the summer of 2022, continuing on with a trend experienced in recent years, as no bail, no punishment policies have put criminals above the law-abiding citizens of New York City. As of the final week of August, the rate of violent crime across all categories is up more than 35% in the city from 2021, when it had already eclipsed record highs.

The city’s law-abiding population, which has long been disarmed and is increasingly living under siege, had received some relief early this year when the Supreme Court struck down New York City’s anti-2A laws that went out of their way to stop citizens from obtaining carry permits.

After the ruling, the city rolled out a new set of equally draconian guidelines blatantly designed to stop citizens from obtaining carry permits. Under the new rules, citizens must now present police with their entire social media account history from the last three years and conduct an in-person interview among other things before receiving a license to carry their own gun.

Though New York makes the average citizen jump through endless hoops to carry a gun, amazingly, the city has long abandoned its stop-and-frisk policing tactics under the guise of far-left Democrats, effectively giving criminals a license to carry at all times.

Ok it’s real. Crazy. Some of the rounds look like the bullets was pounded into the shell casing. Like to see someone try and fire that. They over pressure would be interesting.

The bottom two are not Nerf guns. They’re more like air soft guns. According to their descriptions on Amazon, they shoot a gel bb that grows to 6-7mm when soaked in water. The bottom one is $80 and says it shoots up to 200fps. The middle one is $96 and 210fps.

Amazon splatrball link

A quick perusal of the internet says you need a license for an air rifle or air pistol in NYC. Air soft rifles and pistols seem to meet the definition so these splatrball guns would seem to meet that definition as well.

New York and New York City have stupid laws regarding firearms and bb guns, who knew?

I remember a photo of a proud NYPD squad posing with some kind of antique looking, and obviously inoperative, revolver. Working in Arizona, where everybody seems to have a gun, I would have been embarrassed to show my face in such a photo with one old broken rusty revolver. But hey, I get it, those Nerf guns are dangerous and could put an eye out or something, I guess, maybe...

I was watching "Savage Builds" last night. This is a show starring Adam Savage from the old MythBusters show. They have a warehouse in San Fran and on today's episode, they got cleaned out in an overnight robbery. They were all quite surprised. I was not. San Fran is by most accounts I trust, a shit hole now. In many cases, quite literally.

Those 'Nerf Guns' are NOT air anything...They're battery powered, like many (most?) kids toys! I'm sure the ATF is working feverishly to reclassify them right now! Roll Eyes

That said, based on the description is sounds like a cool toy...Splat R Ball Electric Water Gel Blaster able to Shoot 11 Rounds per Second! Cool

The reason they are posting those airguns is a couple of months ago some guy thought it would be funny to shoot at people using water pellets,he shot at the wrong guy(off duty corrections officer)who then shot him in the face. The off duty then went to work as if though nothing happened and was then arrested for murder.

How do you think the battery powered air soft guns work? On my son’s, there’s a spring powered piston that forces air into the chamber the BB is in, thus pushing the BB down the barrel. Instead of having to manually pull the piston and spring back for each shot, a battery powered electric motor does it for you. I suspect these splatrball guns work exactly the same which meets the definition under NYC’s laws.

The air soft versions are a ton of fun.

We are having an issue here with the splatter balls guns. Kids put Orbeez in them and shoot them. Orbeez are like expanding bbs that soak up water and grow in size. Kids are shooting them in peoples pools and hot tubs and all kinds of crap. I can see a couple kids shooting these at passersby and losing them might not be the worst thing. I for damn sure wouldn't be posting a pic about it.

Yes, the air soft version are a ton of fun, and these seem like they'd be fun as well, but 'Air' has NOTHING to do with the operation of these guns...They're 'Spring Powered', NOT Air Powered! Many 'Full-Auto' Air Soft guns don't actually use any 'Air' either... Wink

Robbery is theft involving the use of violence, weapons, or threats against the victim. Unless they were present and the thieves used violence while stealing from them, then they were the victim of a burglary.

For example: Charging into a bank with a gun and demanding the teller hand over money is a bank robbery, but tunneling into the bank vault undetected and cleaning it out is a bank burglary.

(But I get it... "I've been robbed!" is a common phrase used when someone discovers something's been stolen, even if it didn't involve actual robbery.)

Also, if you're referring to the Mad Max episode, that burglary took place in 2019. Adam Savage has had stuff stolen numerous times over the years, including some valuable props (like an Indiana Jones whip) and his iconic old school Land Cruiser. Yet he continues to choose to reside in San Francisco...
