Water Filter for home drinking water, advice needed

I ordered a Berkey and a Pur, just to try them out.

I just ordered a Big Berkey, the description says it comes with the Black BB9-2 filters.

I figure I'll test the Berkey and the Pur against the Berkey and see how the comparison results work out.

I'm reading the above comments about some other filters I could add. I read the comments but I'm not clear about the added filters, kind brand and type. I'm not adverse to spending some more money, what would you suggest and why, or just truck along with the 2 black filters.

Its been several years, but I read how Berkey would not provide test results for their filters so I started using Doulton. I can't recall which one, I'm out of town but when I get back I'll check.

Looks like you're getting plenty of options. One more: I installed a Pentair EF3000 under the sink. I have city water that is just OK. Too much chlorine and fluoride for me. The EF3000 takes care of those plus the micro plastics. $200. also available on Amazon.
