Stick it.
Tom Fitton from Judicial Watch:
"I've carefully reviewed the indictment of Trump by his political opponents at the Biden Justice Department. JudicialWatch has nearly 30 years of experience litigating federal and presidential records issues, including the famous "Clinton sock drawer" case. The document dishonestly ignores the U.S. Constitution, the Presidential Records Act, legal precedent, and the DOJ's/Archives' previous position that WH records a president takes with him when he leaves the White House are presumptively personal and not subject to review by partisan Biden appointees at DOJ or Archives. Under the Constitution, federal law and precedent, none of the documents are currently "classified" or "national defense information" that restricts Trump's handing of them. They are ALL his personal records and, frankly, should be returned to him. If justice prevails, this indictment won't survive scrutiny by honest, constitutionalist judges and will be thrown out."

My understanding is that he DID tell his staff that he had declassified ALL of the material that he moved to Mara lago when he did it. That should have been enough.

Gotta be kidding me. Do you imagine that the President has to utter some magic words first in order to declassify a document? That he has to wave a wand and say Abracadabra? That he must proclaim for all to hear like some town crier, I HEREBY PROCLAIM THESE DOCUMENTS DECLASSIFIED. No. As Tom Fitton pointed out, and he would know, when Trump took those documents, they were essentially declassified. Blame the radical judge Amy Jackson if you take issue with that, but that's the precedent set previously.

Shut your mouth. He was POTUS. Look it up.
Boot me, ban me or suspend me but you're simply wrong.
No one who has classification authority, even the president, can reveal or show classified material to someone who has no clearance and he can't do it in hindsight. He's impulsive at times and likes to show off.
He should have said, "I declassify these documents" and then he could have shown them. He fucked up. He can't unilaterally decide to give someone clearance authority either.
He has extremely wide latitude in classifying and declassifying but the indictment makes it very clear that he was showing off documents to people who had no clearances.
It's a political prosecution, just like with Bragg's case in NYC, but Trump doesn't get a pass on showing documents to whoever is in the room.
Trump is the most railroaded president in history and he was under attack even before me took office but on the the limited counts of sharing documents with the two groups of people he's wrong.
Seem like President Bush may have done the same or very similar and it was OK for him to do so. In this article it even states:"....... But most classified information is not protected by law. Instead, its classified status derives from the president's constitutional authority as commander in chief. He has full authority to declassify and disclose it as he sees fit......"

They are destroying the foundation. They are chipping away block by block.
Just look at it this way. Look at this faltered case against Trump and then look at the case against Hunter Biden, and his crooked family.
They don’t even compare. One is a few boxes that they are making a mountain out of a mole hill and the other is just flat out bribery, pay to play. But yet Trump is forced to defend himself with millions of dollars in lawyers while the other is a doddering old fuck leading this country. And these are presidents, people at the highest level not just Schlub citizens.
You tell me, this isn’t chipping a block away from the foundation.
They are ruining it but good!

LOL what???
They’re scared TO DEATH of this man.
They want him to finally say “fuck all this BS” and just withdraw from all politics, then this all magically goes away.
I’d say you’ve got it all backwards.
I think goose5 may be correct in regard to the nomination for the Republican side. The left/media obviously don't want Trump to win back the Presidency, but they may prefer him as the candidate believing that he would again be defeated. These constant legal attacks could be intended to fire up Trump's supporters enough to ensure his nomination while simultaneously turning off less committed voters in the general.

Yes, it's another carefully orchestrated tactic involving cooperation with their partners in the media. Leftist do want Trump to be the nominee. They probably have more indictments coming. The media will campaign hard for Democrats again this cycle. Low information voters will be convinced Trump is a felon well before election day rolls around. Our real hope lies in the possibility that the average voter has a built in BS detector.

I'll say it again; this is stupid shit. "They are attacking Trump day and night, with indictments, accusations, lies, investigations, etc. because THEY want him to be the nominee." Next, you're going to tell us how the moon landings were fake and staged, and how George HW Bush was a key figure in the JFK assassination.
Did it ever occur to you that IF "they" really wanted Trump to be the nominee, they would leave him alone and let him cruise through the primaries, crushing all other possible candidates? Because right now, nobody comes close to beating Trump.

It seems to me that they are harassing Trump to this extent, not because they don't want him to run (although they don't) but mostly because they want to send a message to anyone else who might want to run. "If we can do this to him, we can do this to you, as well". I think their primary motive is to discourage other men and women, leaving the field to themselves and to RINOs. Trump's courage in fighting this is critical; it will take men and women of courage to eradicate this leftist stain on our country. Just like they are trying to make him an example, he is trying to set an example of courage in fighting back. My two cents worth.

They are going after Trump for two reasons:
1. Orange Man Bad.....aka Trump Derangement Syndrome.
2. Trump is leading contenders and pretenders in the Republican Nomination process and that scares the hell out of them, especially if an honest election can occur. IF (notice I said IF) they can get Trump to drop out, well guess what, the SAME attack tactics will be used on the next leader among the Republican potentials until they get the worthless candidate that no one would come out and vote for. For example, suddenly DeSantis will be charged with "kidnapping" by the Feds and any Blue States for exporting illegals into their jurisdictions. And that will just be the start of their attacks.

They have put a lot of time and effort into ruining Trump and believe they can poison his chances with indictments. Trump has to run and he has to win. Otherwise, these people will think nothing of jailing a former President guilty of wrongthink. I don't believe for a second this goes away if Trump chooses to withdraw.
