The Trump Presidency : Year IV
I've never seen soldiers treated particularly well.

Sleeping on the floor, issued substandard clothing and gear, these things are perfectly normal.

Uncle Sugar, no matter who it is at a given moment, has never really given a shit about comfort.

We’re TX and FL ever activated/sent? The list I saw was all commie state governors who sent troops.

Trump offers hotel to DC National Guard…

Wasn’t Trump the President who donated his entire salary each payday to worthy causes?
Back when a President worked for the American people and not to line his pocket and those of his family.
Which now makes me wonder, where is Hunter.

Greg Gutfeld is awesome.

What about Hannity and Ingraham? I haven't watched those two in a while. I can't imagine Hannity selling out.

Congress Critter Trump? It's a 'fun' scenario, but it would never play out as envisioned. The Swamp fought him nail and tooth when he had the Executive Branch, so he stands no chance as an underling in the Legislative branch.

Don Trump Jr. pooled 8 pct for 2024 in a 752 people sample pool of republicans a month or so back. Only his father and Pence polled higher.

Also ,this thing of a new party? The Republican Party arose out of the Whig Party around 3/1854 and 6 years later took the Presidency. It took a split Democratic Party in 1860 to do so, but history has an uncanny ability to repeat.

Pending the 2nd Presidential Impeachment trail for Conviction in the Senate, we will see if there really will be a great schism in the Republican party, which will be irreparable. The GOP Swamp in DC is playing with nuclear weapon - Former President Donald J. Trump and a lot of supporters.

To answer your question: I don’t watch fnc except occasional linked excerpts like the Lou Dobbs one earlier in the thread. Dobbs and Carlson are the only excerpts I will bother investing the time to watch. I have been that way since 2012.

Ingram seems GOPe to me. Hannity broadcasts are like AC/DC songs, heard one then you have essentially heard them all. It is possible I am just a cantankerous bastard and am a poor barometer to assess conservative broadcast worthiness.

Hannity definitely has not sold out. He is a solid Trump supporter. Unfortunately, he is so repetitive that it's annoying. Ingraham does good work.

Trump offered his hotel for use by the troops. Some anal opening officer(?) ordered them back to the garage. And before we start rhapsodizing about how well the troops are doing, we just might want to find out how they were equipped to deal with concrete floors and freezing temperatures.

Texas sent 1000 troops.

And as much as them being banished is piss poor I know as a young troop I would much prefer a parking garage over the capital. I can only imagine the amount of BS they had to go through...dress right dress on steroids. Roll Eyes

On hannity they said according to the Geneva conventions, prisoners can’t be forced to sleep on concrete floors, well at least officially.

Lol...my son (Marine Reserves) said those digs were better than most of his drill weekends.

He routinely sleeps on the floor of the armory the night before since he has such a long drive.

This impeachment trial talk in the Senate is quite bizarre to me. It seems so ridiculous. How can they possibly have an impeachment trial when the President is already out of office? Seriously, wtf? Does that mean that Republicans can one day impeach Obama and then convict him in the Senate for all the actual crimes he committed in office? This is beyond nonsense.

I don’t think it’s going to fly, I’m already hearing discussion that Democrats are getting cold feet about it and are downplaying any talk of it.

It’s very bizarre; to me it’s like when the body of Oliver Cromwell was dug up and executed like 10 years after he died, or the Pope that had one of his long-dead predecessors exhumed and put on trial and declared guilty and executed.

I don’t even think this is Constitutional and would be declared as such by the SCOTUS.
