Sen. Graham serves as Chairman of the Senate Judiciary Committee. The Judiciary Committee's oversight of the DOJ includes all of the agencies under the DOJ's jurisdiction, such as the FBI.

Many years ago I was in the Idaho guard. The guard was a STATE unit. When we went to summer camp, it was on orders of the governor.
We had a reserve unit in my home town, and the 2 units were not under the same commander.
Seems to me that if national guard troops were activated and sent to DC, that would have been done by governors rather than the defense department.

Is anyone surprised by the actions of the GOP? They have been spineless wishy washy democrats lite for a long long time. Everyone confused Trump with the GOP. They are not and never have been the same. Trump won precisely because he wasn't the usual roll over GOP candidate.
