You know the fact, the person that has to bring Hitler into the conversation is losing the argument.

--------------------------

Fact Check: Biden Claims U.S. Had a ‘Good Relationship with Hitler Before He Invaded the Rest of Europe’

CLAIM: Joe Biden claimed at the debate: “We had a good relationship with Hitler before he invaded the rest of Europe.”

VERDICT: MOSTLY FALSE. Hitler’s rise led to a downturn in relations, though the U.S. stayed out of the war until 1941.

Biden attempted to criticize President Donald Trump for his diplomatic relationship with North Korean dictator Kim Jong-un, calling him a “thug.”

Trump countered that he inherited a volatile situation from the Obama-Biden administration, and that he averted war by developing a good relationship with Kim.

Biden replied: “We had a good relationship with Hitler before he invaded the rest of Europe.”

Not true. As the website of the U.S. embassy in Germany notes:

The rise of Hitler’s National Socialist Party and the resulting persecution of Jews and political dissidents brought about another break in German-American relations. However, an isolationist Congress and American public did not allow the administration of President Franklin D. Roosevelt to do much to resist Hitler’s rise to power. The Reciprocal Trade Agreements Act of 1934 was severed. After the “Reichskristallnacht” in 1938, the American ambassador was recalled but diplomatic relations were not severed.

A new wave of emigration from Germany to the United States occurred. These refugees from Nazi Germany included Albert Einstein, Thomas Mann, Kurt Weill and Marlene Dietrich, and other artists, scientists, musicians, and scholars. With the exception of the German-American Bund, with Fritz Kuhn as its “Führer,” there was little Nazi support in the United States. Most German-Americans were loyal to the United States and indifferent to the appeal of international Nazism.

There was no point at which the U.S. had a “good relationship” with Hitler, though there were individual Americans — like U.S. Ambassador to the United Kingdom Joe Kennedy — who admired Hitler and urged a policy of appeasement.

Donald Trump is not a politician, he is a leader, politicians are a dime a dozen, leaders are priceless.

Not only did the US stay out of the war, but FDR 'bent' the neutrality laws so we could sell goods to France, Britain, and the other European allies. This was done on a 'cash and carry' basis, with the implicit understanding that ONLY Britain and (for a while, at least) France could actually take delivery of these weapons. We sold weapons, aircraft, etc, to the allies, who then had to load them onto their own ships for the trans-Atlantic trip. Of course, once the war started, Germany was physically incapable of carrying out trans-Atlantic commerce with the US. Though a technicality, this legally allowed Germany to buy from the US (thus maintaining US "neutrality") but practically prevented them from doing so.

Joe Kennedy (JFK's over-bearing father) was a piece of trash. During the Battle of Britain, he constantly preached doom and gloom and foretold the fall of Britain, and basically advocated withdrawing support for the British.

No, not the animal: Georgia lawmaker crowned ‘dimwit of the year’ after trying to dunk on Trump for saying ‘coyotes’ smuggle kids

23 Oct, 2020 07:28

Social media users licked their chops after a Georgia lawmaker attempted to mock President Donald Trump for saying ‘coyotes’ traffic children across the border, apparently unaware that he wasn’t referring to the animal.
The not-so-hot take came in response to a comment made by Trump during Thursday’s rowdy presidential debate between the incumbent Republican and Democratic nominee Joe Biden.

When asked by moderator Kristen Welker of NBC News about more than 500 children who were separated from their parents or adult guardians after trying to illegally cross the US-Mexico border, Trump insisted that many of them are victims of human trafficking.

“These children are brought here by coyotes and lots of bad people, cartels, and they used to use them to get into our country,” he said.

This is when a tweet authored by Georgia Democratic State Rep. Dar’shun Kendrick went viral for all the wrong reasons.

“Did @realDonaldTrump just say 545 kids they can't find their parents for came over through 'cartels and coyotes'?! How the hell does a coyote bring a whole human across the border?! Lord-----stop talking,” she wrote, oblivious to the stampede of mockery that would soon overwhelm her notifications.

A simple Google search reveals that dictionaries list “coyote” as an informal name for criminals who smuggle Latin Americans into the United States.

It seems most people on Twitter knew this, and they did not hesitate to inform Kendrick that, despite her claim to the contrary, Trump was not actually referring to the 4-legged mammal.

Mark Dice wrote on Twatter: What Democrats think Trump meant by coyotes bringing illegal aliens across the border, completely unaware it’s the term for smugglers they pay to help get them here. Big Grin

Great Photoshop! Can somebody put together an image with Wile E. Coyote driving a panel truck or 18-wheeler with ACME IMMIGRANT CHILDREN TRANSPORT CO. on the side of the truck?

The worst part: There were hundreds of her followers on twatter that played along! All kinds of blue checks on twatter.

There REALLY are THAT MANY people that have no idea what a coyote is, as it relates to immigration... They even think they're smarter than the rest of us, and use it as a vehicle of derision... Educate yourself or STFU!!
Our country is SCREWED! Mad

The result is: families under siege; war in the streets; unapologetic expropriation of property; the precipitous decline of the rule of law; the rapid rise of corruption; the loss of civility and the triumph of deceit. The result is a debased, debauched culture which finds moral depravity entertaining and virtue contemptible."

So in the debate, Biden repeats that 50 former intelligence officials said the laptop was a Russian plant.

No they didn't .

They said it showed signs of a Russian disinformation program.

They emphasized they don't know if the emails are genuine. They said they have no evidence of Russian involvement.

The current DNI says the laptop is not Russian disinformation.

Why didn't the moderator ask Biden directly - are the emails genuine ? Is that Hunter's laptop?

From Don Surber regarding Delphi pension plans.

https://donsurber.blogspot.com...ghts-of-news_23.html

quote:

ITEM 7: Fox reported, "The Trump administration announced Thursday that the Obama-era decision to terminate Delphi pension plans is being brought back into review.

"White House trade adviser Peter Navarro told Fox Business Network the review is necessary to support retirees who he said are losing out on earned money.

"'The reason why we’re working on it is because the litigation process ran its course and these Delphi salaried and non-union employees are still getting screwed,' he said.

"Navarro made clear that the Pension Benefit Guaranty Corporation (PBGC), where Delphi trusteeship was transferred after going bankrupt, is not the villain in the situation. Rather, the Treasury Department under President Obama and Joe Biden are to blame."

While Biden went hidin' for five days to prep for last night's debate, President Trump was cleaning up one of the many messes Biden left.

The PBGC does not pay the full pension. This really hurt employees who had nothing to do with the decision by Obama and Biden to sacrifice Delphi at the altar of their anti-capitalism.

Fox Business article:

The Trump administration announced Thursday that the Obama-era decision to terminate Delphi pension plans is being brought back into review.

White House trade adviser Peter Navarro told Fox Business Network's “Making Money with Charles Payne” the review is necessary to support retirees who he said are losing out on earned money.

“The reason why we’re working on it is because the litigation process ran its course and these Delphi salaried and non-union employees are still getting screwed,” he said.

Navarro made clear that the Pension Benefit Guaranty Corporation (PBGC), where Delphi trusteeship was transferred after going bankrupt, is not the “villain” in the situation. Rather, the Treasury Department under President Obama and Joe Biden are to blame.

The trade adviser explained that following the $30 billion bailout of General Motors in 2009, the United Auto Workers had employee pensions topped off for union members while nearly 20,000 non-union workers were left out to dry.

Now, Trump is starting a 90-day process to address the long-standing battle alongside other White House officials including Navarro, Treasury Secretary Steven Mnuchin and Labor Secretary Eugene Scalia.

“We’re going to come up with a way to try to make these folks whole,” he said. “This shows President Trump is the blue-collar president. He cares about these people. Joe Biden and Barack Obama did not."

From today’s The Hill:

Trump order strips workplace protections from civil servants

A new executive order from President Trump makes it easier to hire and fire civil servants that work on policy, stripping some protections from career employees before a potential change in administration.

Federal employee unions are billing the order as the biggest change to federal workforce protections in a century, converting many federal workers to “at will” employment.
It also makes it easier to hire new employees outside of the competitive process — something critics say could be used to hire policy employees without appropriate experience.
The order specifically targets policy-related career positions, a move critics say will enable the administration to fire employees that may question their policies.

“By targeting federal workers whose jobs involve government policies, the real-world implications of this order will be disastrous for public health, the environment, the defense of our nation, and virtually every facet of our lives,” Everett Kelley, president of the American Federation of Government Employees, the largest federal employee union, said in a release.

^^^ I think it's more than that. Just like queen nancy is preparing for enacting the 25th Amendment in case sleepy joe is elected, I believe President Trump is prepping the way for a MAJOR house-cleaning for his second term.

I told my wife this morning that once he is re-elected, he will swing the ax and fire all the dirt-bag deep state never-Trumpers out there (a sizeable amount of them, at least).

I am a Government Civilian employee and I applaud this measure. It is notoriously difficult to fire a govt civilian - often, they are simply promoted so they can move onto another office, just so the first office can get rid of them.

Probably why he was checking his watch. Thinking holy shit, I've only got a couple more minutes before I crash.

Anyone notice how wide-eyed he got when he was getting hammered or pressured to answer a question? He looked very uncomfortable in those situations.

Good first step.

Next, relocate every job to fly-over country and adjust the pay-scale accordingly. Bonus points for putting the new federal facilities in empty malls and factories in areas with high unemployment, instead of leasing or building new buildings.

It would be amazing to see the swamp drain itself. Wink
