I swear I cannot remember being this excited about an event since I was a child at Christmastime! As much as I hate network television, I will most definitely be watching Monday morning to witness this historic event!!!
Hopefully I can find an alternative source online to view the proceedings...
Update: Apparently it will be live-streamed on YouTube by a number of sources including Fox News, so that's where I'll watch it!

About four miles from me, fireworks erupted over Trump’s pending inauguration.
It went on for 30 minutes.

I’m not sure it was malicious in intent. I read it to be wide eyed and innocent in the first term, battler hardened and more focused in the second.

That post and meme are pretty clear to me. Trump was totally unprepared for how deep and widespread the swamp was in 2016. The fact that he was a great President in his 1st term doesn't change this reality. But this time around, he is going to kick asses and take no prisoners. And he will be even a better President.

It means that in 2017, Donald Trump was a political novice and his administration suffered for it, and now, Trump is politically savvy and is prepared for all the obstacles which will be placed in his path.
That's simply a fact. Acknowledging this fact does not denigrate President Trump, not does it signal a lack of support for him and his cause.

At last people are not cowed into telling the truth about their opinions on issues like the trans hysteria.
Daily Wire: NYT Polling shows Americans overwhelmingly support Trump's position on numerous trans issues
NYT Polling Shows Americans Overwhelmingly Support GOP Position On Numerous Trans Issues Amanda PrestigiacomoJan 18, 2025 New polling from the New York Times shows that Americans, regardless of political party, agree with Republican positions on numerous transgender issues, including gender transitions for minors and sports inclusion.
The New York Times/Ipsos Survey, which was conducted earlier this month, found that a stunning 79% of Americans believe males should not be permitted to participate in female sports , even if the athlete identifies as transgender.
“Thinking about transgender female athletes — meaning athletes who were male at birth but who currently identify as female — do you think they should or should not be allowed to compete in women’s sports?” the survey posed.
Overall, 79% of those surveyed answered no, including 67% of Democrats. In total, only 18% of Americans believe trans athletes should be allowed in female sports.
Another survey question asked about transgender medications for minors: “Thinking about medications used for transgender care, do you think doctors should be able to prescribe puberty-blocking drugs or hormone therapy to minors between the ages of 10 and 18?”
Overall, 71% of Americans answered “No,” including 54% of Democrats. Only 10% of respondents said minors should have access to the drugs, with another 16% saying minors ages 15-18 should have access.
Respondents were also asked if we’ve gone too far as a society accommodating trans-identifying individuals. “Which statement comes closest to your feelings about the way our society deals with transgender people — that is, someone who does not identify with their sex at birth, like a person born male who now identifies as female,” the survey asked.
A total of 77% of respondents agreed that society has gone too far or has gone far enough to accommodate trans people, while only 21% said we haven’t gone far enough.
