I just heard a few minutes ago on Fox during a press briefing by the Sheriff that the tesla that blew up in front of the Trump tower in Vegas was rented from the same rental agency that had rented out the truck used in New Orleans. He was asked if that was just a coincidence and he replied that they and the FBI were looking real hard at that and he could not comment any further.

Hmm....I'm not gonna say anything more about that myself.

Here’s How President Trump Can Put His Team in Place Without Senate Approval or Recess Appointments

Over the last two months, there has been a lot of talk about Trump’s cabinet appointments and which ones people believe will be approved by the Senate. Some people have suggested that Trump will use recess appointments to get around Senate approval.

But there is also another way to do it.

Trump can use the Federal Vacancies Reform Act which was passed in 1998. He used this for some appointments in his first term and can certainly do so again in his second.

CBS News reported:

How Trump could put allies in key government posts without Senate approval

As President-elect Donald Trump prepares to begin his second term in the White House in just a few weeks, he has suggested that he will use recess appointments to circumvent the Senate confirmation process and quickly install his picks to key positions across the federal government.

The demand has been met with pushback from some Republicans, but there is another way in which Trump could place those loyal to him in high-ranking positions without Senate approval, albeit temporarily: a 25-year-old federal law that sets the rules for presidents to tap acting officials to fill vacant positions that require Senate confirmation.

Enacted in 1998, the Federal Vacancies Reform Act, or the Vacancies Act, limits which government employees can temporarily fill the roughly 1,300 federal offices that require nomination by the president and approval by the Senate.

The playbook wouldn’t be new to Trump, who installed “acting” leaders atop various federal agencies and subagencies in his first term, including the Departments of Defense and Interior and the Environmental Protection Agency.

Trump should not have to do this in order to get his team in place, but if the Senate decides to play games he should go right around them. Democrats and the media will attack him for doing so, but they would do that anyway. The country wants the new Trump administration up and running ASAP. There is a ton of work that needs to be done and the people cannot be made to wait.

Reportedly included fireworks, gas tanks, and camping fuel. Apparently the damage was well contained due to the design of the vehicle, sending most of the destructive energy upwards rather than outwards.

Biden's ATF director Steven Dettelbach resigned shortly before Christmas, effective on Jan. 18th before Trump takes office. One less guy for Trump to fire.

Just read a report that Trump will hold a victory rally at the Washington Capitols arena the day before the inauguration. The arena holds about 20,000 people.

I pray the SS are up to the task.

I hope everyone is paying attention. A disgusting display by at least 3 RINOs who have done what they can to torpedo the MAGA agenda.

The House is voting for Speaker today. The GOP needs to be solid in their support for one person. Simple majority of 218 votes wins. Too many RINOs play games and the Dems stay unified could result in a Speaker of the House from the side other than the majority party.

Two of them, Keith Self and Ralph Norman are not what I would characterize as "RINOs". Both are Freedom Caucus members, and both voted for Byron Donalds and Jim Jordan for Speaker. Similar to Matt Gaetz and his holdout against Kevin McCarthy, they are likely doing this in the first round of voting to negotiate some rules that benefit the Freedom Caucus agenda as far as government funding. And it looks like Johnson is in.

And democrats are back to being what they are. Jeffries said he was going to secure the border but when Johnson said it was job one, the democrats were silent.

Business as usual.

I think the gentlemen who voted against Trump, well-meaning though they may be, have no idea how much the American public is watching to see how normal Congressional procedure, including Republicans closing ranks around Mike Johnson (who is strongly supported by Trump) helps restore trust in the entire government going forward.

Mike Johnson needs to go but he cannot go right now. First things first. I don't care what is the motivation of the Republicans who voted against him, because it doesn't matter. They need to get their head out of their ass.
