Because somehow presidents and former presidents have become untouchable except for Trump. This is a sure sign of how corrupt the government is. It illustrates to me that no matter how well engineered a machine is, one tiny enduring flaw will eventually destroy it. The flaw in government is human nature. In our case, corruption once established, has paralyzed us from making enough corrections that I fear revolution is the only solution. I don’t think that revolution will be imposed by anything but collapse. I know it is doom-saying and tiresome to read so frequently but fate favors the prepared.

I think those of us in the Forum knew just how impaired Biden was, and incapable of fulfilling the role of President. Yet, to see the WSJ article in black and white, and read exactly how the bubble boy was handled by the Party and staff was incredible. The Democrats shouldn’t win another election for at least a generation.

The Democrat party is dead. It is like a deer that has been shot through the heart, but keeps on running for 15 or 20 yards. Dead on its feet.

The republicans in the House aren't much better off. Until they unite like pelosi had her members in lock step, they will self-destruct as well.

The only people on the planet who did not know how impaired Biden was were on the same mental plane as him.

Everyone else knew full well they just hate Trump enough not to care or were fine with the attempted cover up of it.

Biden will not be prosecuted because he was in some sense a hapless figurehead.

The people that need to go to jail are the un-elected people that concealed his decline, usurped his power and made decisions for him.

They're not going to put that eggplant on trial. If we're lucky, he'll die of some dementia-related cause before the end of next year. He doesn't need to enjoy his retirement. The lazy bastard has been on non-stop vacation for the last four years.

Whenever he goes, I won't shed one single tear for that ridiculous asshole.

Damn!! The 20th cannot come too soon!!

“ Biden commutes most federal death row sentences to life in prison before Trump takes office”

I make no apology as an advocate for the death penalty. Here in Florida:

“Pig” Parker beat the system for his 1982 execution murder of a young girl in a convenience store robbery. The victim was a close friend of my wife; I have followed the story of this atrocity from the beginning in 1982, only to find this worthless piece of excrement has his death sentence commuted to life! Even worse, as I read the report, he may be eligible for parole!

Now, Biden has commuted 37 (!) of 40 Federal death sentences - in my estimation, there is no place in Hell horrible enough punishment for what this senile old man has done to the families and loved ones of the victims.

Biden basically issued a blanket pardon for evil! Not surprising.. it's consistent.

To those voters out there who might have lingering doubts about the horrible nature of Democrats and leftists in general, this is further confirmation.

But the real reason that Biden commuted these federal death sentences? To sabotage Trump:

" In good conscience, I cannot stand back and let a new administration resume executions that I halted."

It’s not about justice, it’s not about what’s right, and it’s not about retribution for wronging the God of the Catholic faith, but all about spiting Trump.

As a colleague noted this morning:

The thing is, there’s no such thing as abolition of the death penalty. If the state abolishes it, there still will be a death penalty… but it will be determined by criminals.

As she noted, Mexico has no death penalty and one of the highest murder rates in the world. Sound like a model?

"Some things are apparent. Where government moves in, community retreats, civil society disintegrates and our ability to control our own destiny atrophies. The result is: families under siege; war in the streets; unapologetic expropriation of property; the precipitous decline of the rule of law; the rapid rise of corruption; the loss of civility and the triumph of deceit. The result is a debased, debauched culture which finds moral depravity entertaining and virtue contemptible."

Biden's commutation of the death penalty is just the latest in his string of deliberately lawless actions beginning with reversing Trump's border policy on January 21, 2021.

His actions are not unlawful, but they are immoral and disrespectful of the justice system and victims.

I haven't studied the founding father's discussions on the power to pardon and commute, but I would hope the intent was to allow a final review to counter political and mob-rule convictions which they knew had happened in their pasts.

Are you guys all watching this? The Democrats clearly all received a memo that their new marching orders are to drive a wedge between Elon Musk and Donald Trump.

It’s like their last desperate gasp, I don’t think it’s going to work though.
