oddballThe first sentence in Trump's official announcement of Patel is "I am proud to announce that Kashyap "Kash" Patel
will serve as the next Director of the Federal Bureau of Investigation".
Ironically, Patel is the first Director of color considered for the gig, so throw that into the faces of Democrats. And also Trump will appoint a new Deputy Director, with no Senate confirmation required, to run the FBI during the confirmation process of Patel, hopefully Wray if fired by then. I imagine there are a lot of frightened FBI people scrambling to resign/retire before January 20th.
