Trump does it, and it's "dragging Hurricane Helene into 2024 campaign".

If KK does it, it would be "VP Harris looks to ease the pain and suffering of those affected by Hurricane Helene".

I don't watch the news anymore but I checked key news sites and not a single story about how the Biden Administration is rushing aid to these areas.

I found buried deep in one story that Biden may visit if it doesn't hinder efforts. The rest of it seems to be local efforts. I did see a few stories on how Michigan sent resources to assist. I'm sure other states are sending resources as well as typical.

BTW, everyone around Atlanta and Georgia ok?

Brandon Herrera built a LooneyTwooneyTwo SKS, complete with electrical tape scope mount. The results are a surprise.

Elon Musk has said that the upcoming election will be the last in America if Kamala Harris wins. None of us is surprised by that statement.

https://www.bizpacreview.com/2...not-elected-1491133/

What is astonishing is that tens of millions of American voters are completely unaware of what Musk is talking about. They do not know that recently Walz said that there should be no free speech in America. They do not know that he has made 30 trips to China and praised the Chinese Communist Party. They do not know that Kamala has urged defunding the police. And we could go on and on, citing indisputable signs that if Kamala wins, America will find itself under the boot heel of totalitarianism.

How can this be so? How can so many voters, most of them intelligent people, be utterly clueless?

The phenomenon is so unprecedented in America, and so complex, that books will need to be written to answer that question. If allowed. But let me suggest two reasons.

One is that the press, which has always leaned left, has now become an all-out propaganda machine, literally worthy of Pravda. They know what they are doing, and they are doing it anyway, because of the second reason I have to offer-- touched on by stickman:

"The left is collectively reaching dangerous levels of mental illness."

I agree. What we're seeing is an example of collective consciousness gone berserk.

Of which there are many examples throughout history, but look at the Muslim ritual of "stoning the devil" that takes place in Mecca as part of the holy pilgrimage. The participants throw stones at three walls, representing the devil. But it is not merely a ritual enactment. They work themselves into such heightened stages of blind rage that often thousands are suffocated or trampled to death on the site.

Something like blind rage has possessed millions of Americans regarding Trump. When I tried to talk about the border with a friend, she held up her hand, her face reddening, and said "Stop! Nothing you could possibly tell me about Trump would ever in a million years make me vote for that monster!"

A big part of this is the effect of the propaganda I mentioned. That is the rational part of it all.
'
A bigger, stranger part, is the left's "collectively reaching dangerous levels of mental illness." Emphasis on dangerous.

They provide secret service to Iranian leader, but not to Trump. That’s a cheat. They’re breaking immigration laws to let in 20 million illegals (inc. 465k convicted criminals) to vote in this election. Cheat. They have a fraudulent candidate with ZERO VOTES. Cheat.

Netflix took a big hit in subscription cancellations after co-founder Reed Hastings publicly announced his support of Vice President Kamala Harris. Hastings also announced a $7 million donation towards a super PAC supporting Harris, which resulted in a spike in membership cancellations as Netflix subscribers banded together on social media to boycott the streaming giant.

In the days following the July endorsement, the cancellation rate nearly tripled in the United States. July was already a month with high cancellation rates, following Netflix’s decision to get rid of its lowest priced ad-free plan, with subscribers canceling at a rate of 2.8%. Despite prior unusually high cancelation rates, the days following Hastings’ endorsement still stood out as conservative subscribers opted to spend their money elsewhere.

“Congrats to Kamala Harris – now it is time to win,”
Hastings wrote on social media in July, prompting the backlash.

The hashtag “#CancelNetflix” was utilized as a trend to spread the word, with some users posting screenshots of their canceled Netflix subscription as well. Bloomberg reported that three days after Hastings posted the endorsement, Netflix had its worst cancellation date of the year.
Additionally, Hastings was one of the most outspoken voices calling on President Joe Biden to drop out of the 2024 presidential race, following his disastrous debate performance against former President Donald Trump.

“Biden needs to step aside to allow a vigorous Democratic leader to beat Trump and keep us safe and prosperous,” he wrote.

Hastings and his wife, Patty Quillin, have been known as prominent Democrat donors, as they have donated over $10 million in the past to left wing causes, including a $3 million donation in 2021, in an effort to prevent a recall against California Governor Gavin Newsom (D-Calif.).

Elon Musk chimed in, noting the disparity in donation rates among election contributions from Netflix employees, with 100% of the donations swaying to the left.

“Donations by Netflix employees could not be more lopsided in favor of the Democratic Party (~100%),” Musk wrote on X.

Although Netflix has attempted to distance itself from Hastings’s political activity in the past, the streaming giant has been unable to divorce Hastings’s political action, as he currently sits as the chairman of the board of directors at Netflix.

The full extent of the damage caused by the boycott will be revealed shortly, as the company is set to reveal their full financial report in October.

I'm a little torn as my Netflix has been free with my T-Mobile service.

You can still opt out, then T-Mobile won't be taking part of the money you pay for service and sending it to Netflix.

I'd like to convince myself that Mr. Reed is shocked and reeling in disbelief and horror at all these cancellations but I doubt that's hardly the case. These backlashes have happened enough times that these people know what's coming they just don't care. There is no way to donate seven mill without it becoming public.
