How is 50%-60% of the market a monopoly, but Windows 85+% ok? Seems fishy.

This is nothing like John D. Rockefeller's Standard Oil of the late 19th/early 20th century that the Theodore Roosevelt administration broke up. That controlled every aspect of the oil extraction, refining and distribution while stamping out any competition. Apple has not done anything even approaching that.

Is that enough to be called a monopoly? It's debatable at 62% US market share, however I think that's certainly enough for anti-competitive behaviors, some of which are accused by the government, and some apparently were based on deposed internal emails. From reading the opinions of the lawyers in the press, it seems like the DOJ took a careful approach and delivered good arguments for its case.
That MASSIVE chart is simply documents people voting with their wallets! Further, you have to throw out the Q4 data, because that's when Apple releases their new phones, which obviously skews the numbers. And we all know a large percentage of iPhone users absolutely have to have the latest iPhone at the moment it's released (whether they need it or not) to impress their friends and/or be seen as one of the cool fanboys! This is evidenced by the rope lines outside of all the Apple Stores during 'New iPhone Season'!
It's a BIG stretch to call the iPhone w/ iOS a monopoly when the other half of the market is Android.

Apple has made a lot of people a lot of money. The government is talking out of both sides of their ass. They vilify people for making money while collecting income tax on it.

If you knew the line from the film it was in then you’d know it was a landline. It was in a kitchen, and it has zero bearing or resemblance to this thread or subject matter.
Try harder next time.
