The thread on hedge trimmers had a post that mentioned that one of our SF members was growing a large amount of Yew Trees. So as not to hijack that valuable discussion, I thought I'd post a new reminder that out west, Japanese Yew and related species are deadly to our big game animals.

Please be careful with Japanese Yew, everyone. It is fatal to animals, and to dogs and humans. Out west, it has been killing dozens of our elk and antelope that then go to waste.
