Folks, if you haven't noticed his recent post about an auto trip, he's initiating it in Dallas (will pick up his car here) and would like to meet up with a few of us SIGForum members for dinner. I'd expect that to happen on 1 Nov 2021 (or possibly the 2nd), which is a Monday. I'm not very good at setting up these dinner plans and would appreciate knowing which of you might be able and willing to do a FTF with him that night. Reccommendations for locations would also be good--I don't get out a lot. I know he won't have his kids yet (they are in Clovis, NM), but I don't know if there will be a spouse with him in Dallas.

I'm getting up in years and would appreciate someone with more ability to plan this.

i am 2 hrs NE of Dallas, near OK border, he is welcome to crash if needed. Also would go up to meet and visit. I like Rockwall, it is easy on / off I30 and zero traffic like in downtown Dallas, yet you can be in Dallas in minutes. the Hilton there is in an area that has its own waterfront boardwalk and has a movie theatre, several restaurants (the best Mexican in town IMHO) and a GREAT cigar shop all within hundreds of feet of hotel from door.
