Being retired now for almost 16 years, I find I'm up in the morning anywhere from 6am to 10 am. Enjoy sleeping in as I rarely have anywhere I need to be heading out to. Recently I acquired a Flair Neo Flex inexpensive manual lever espresso machine. https://sigforum.com/eve/forum...650027805#8650027805 The results have been outstanding matching or exceeding my retired broken Isomac Zaffiro dual use single boiler prosumer unit. I'm finding that rather than espresso milk based drinks like piccolo lattes or breves, I'm really enjoying straight espresso. My new morning routine is to make and enjoy one while my SCA certified drip coffee maker makes a few mugs full of java. Only negative is having to manually switch grind levels on the big Cunhill Tranquillo Cafe commercial grinder. During this interval I also make breakfast. Yup the espresso is indeed a delicious eye opener and sets the stage for what follows. Works for me! I can only guess based on the title and the choice of coffee I'd be coloring you espresso black? ___________________________________________ Life Member NRA & Washington Arms Collectors Mistake not my current state of joshing gentle peevishness for the awesome and terrible majesty of the towering seas of ire that are themselves the milquetoast shallows fringing my vast oceans of wrath. That's a great position to be in, bald1. It's a position I'd like to be in. But for me, I have many years until retirement since I'm only 45. After I'm done working, I'd still likely wake up around 6:30-7:00 and do a few things around the house but then nap after lunch. _____________

Yup...espresso black made with medium dark roast beans. But I do like a small splash of half n half in my drip coffee. Set up ready for tomorrow: Certifiable member of the gun toting, septuagenarian, bucket list workin', crazed retiree, bald is beautiful club! USN (RET), COTEP #192

I have always loved coffee of just about any sort. When I retired 9 years ago my gift to me was a Bosco Sorrento machine. Best investment ever! Espresso is addictive. Exactly the same for me. So good, so fast, so easy, so little cleaning/maintenance. My compact Nespresso Pixie accepts only the “Original” capsules, not the newer ones with cream and stuff. I like it black, no sugar. Little counter space occupied by the Pixie. I can’t imagine drinking drip coffee when an espresso or a lungo is so convenient. I expected that when I retired I’d be sleeping in, but it went the other way. I’m out of bed and doing my floor exercises at 5AM. Then a couple of lungos while browsing the web before my two mile morning walk begins at 7AM. Serious about crackers

For those that don’t know: Americanos are espressos with hot water added after the espresso is made. Lungos are espressos with a bit more water forced through the coffee grounds. I usually make lungos with my Nespresso Pixie. Serious about crackers
