I've long said that the world would be a more polite place if these types of things happened a bit more often.

Democrats hate it when they're confronted over their threats.

It's not unprecedented. Check your U.S. history.

It certainly appears that the union thug made the challenge first.

He has zero respect for a sitting US Senator. He should be in jail for his disrespect. Obviously, we only do that to conservatives who cross democrats in congress.

Sen. Mullin, a former MMA fighter

Mullin — an undefeated MMA fighter who was inducted into the Oklahoma Wrestling Hall of Fame

Mullin would have wiped the committee dais with O'Brien.

Union "thug" vs Senator/MMA guy, I'd pay to watch that.

Hope he takes him up on that charity event, but you can be sure someone will tell him what he's getting into, and he'll back the hell off fast.

Bernie is a totally poor referee. Is there not a Sgt at arms that could haul them both out of the hearing? Some high school disciplinarians could have handled this easily.

O'Brien was a big talker on social media, the normal internet tough guy.

I owe Senator Mullin a huge apology. That event looks very different when you watch the entire interchange rather than the 15-30 second clip that CNN shows where the Senator stands up.

Yes, Senator Mullin could have focused a bit more on testimony. (I think he took a few things too personally.) But the witness was doing everything possible to avoid answering questions.

I loved the part where Senator Mullin talked about he and his wife starting his plumbing business.

Thank you for posting that, a1abdj. I'm glad I took time to watch the entire episode.

IMO, the US was a more polite place when you might get smacked in the mouth for being an asshole.

Yeah, I though the whole thing was pathetic.
