pbslingerStark Difference In Police Presence Between Two Different States
Most massive police presence I've seen was on the short stretch of 84 that cuts through southern NY.

casI was just retelling the story today about a trip I took in 2000. Drove from Maryland, through Virginia, West Virginia, Kentucky, Tennessee, Arkansas, Oklahoma, Texas, New Mexico, Arizona. Then into Nevada, into Utah, back to Nevada, back into Arizona, back across Utah and half way across Colorado.
From there I flew home. I saw more cop cars on the 45 minute drive from Laquardia airport to my house, than I did the week plus of driving on that trip.

We ran the PA turnpike to and from Maryland last month and the total toll was $88 !!, so yeah PA doesn’t need the revenue as much as OH

That's what I've heard here in Illinois for years: "If you drive east, you can fly through Indiana, but slow down when you get to Ohio because they love to stop cars with out-of-state plates."
On the other hand, a few years ago I got stopped for speeding up in Door County, Wisc. The officer gave me a verbal warning and said "We love having guests from Illinois. But, we'd rather you spend your money in our shops and restaurants instead of on fines. Please slow down and enjoy your visit."

egregoreI drive I-81 and I-40 fairly often. Virtually no THP presence, and of course people speed with impunity.
