Needs bigger tires so you can roll it out to the yard for projects!

They don't sit at eye heights, so they're angled to make the controls and readouts easy to see and use.

Well that is certainly logical. Thanks!

Does your box being angled prevent a full size cylinder from fitting or never use em?

The angle makes it a bit nicer to work the controls. Many commercial built carts have that feature. I designed it to fit up to full sized cylinders. I don’t see a reason to upsize at the moment.

Ima steal that angle iron/chain deal for securing the tank. Mine flops around on my store-bought cart enough to be scary.

Also, I have a cheapo Zeny Plasma Cutter that works amazingly well considering the price point. I just zapped a hole in a piece of 3" x 1/4" square tubing with it no problem. It DOES demand dry air, but doesn't use a lot of air so pretty much any compressor should run it okay.

Thanks! Post some pics of your new tank securing setup. That plasma cutter is sooo tempting.

No plans for now; even my trailer can be pulled right in front of the garage, then I can use the extension cable. Still, I designed for the future; that’s why the casters are bolt-on and can be swapped out. Wink

I've considered painting it, but it looks pretty badass as-is. Plus, rust isn't really an issue out here with the typical humidity being below 20%. If I change my mind, it will be a quick-n-dirty with some gloss black tractor paint.

Why not just clear coat it now to protect the "new metal" look?

Interesting. I hadn’t considered that.

Not a waste of time at all. That's a pretty cool, and I bet useful as hell cart. My son would love having one like this. Going to show it to him. He might just build one.

If you want that thing to be super-steady you might just go ahead & weld the tank to the frame. (Sorry - I had a stupid moment & couldn't resist it)... But it DOES look GOOD!!

I’d considered it, but then I’d have to get the whole damn cart in/out of my truck when I wanted the tank refilled. I don’t want to hurt my back. Cool

UPDATE: I got back to Harbor Freight and swapped out the caster; the cart now has four wheels. YAY!
