ontmarkSprint Magic Box Gold.
So this is what Sprint sent us free. It looks like they want customers to be their mini cell towers.
I get lousy service at home on the work phone. It may even help our Daughter who has an older I Phone on T-Mobile
Will this do anything to boost the dual band Wi-Fi router in our house.

OzarkwoodsWhen we lived in MO we had poor cell service from our house. Verizon sent us a mini tower we had to place it close to a window for gps and hook it up to our DSL router. It improved our cell phone coverage in and around the house. Since we hard wired it to our router it did not affect the WiFi. I believe it works at a different band then the WiFi.

Skins2881Cool! You get to be a free mini tower for them. I wouldn't sleep to close to it if I were you.

VanwallI can't comment on the "magic box" but with verizon you can enable WiFi calling. This option with send you phone calls via your WiFi instead of cell service. I enabled on my Verizon served phone and it is transparent for my calls.
My sister-in-law was visiting a few weeks ago. She has T-moblle service and it was spotty at our house. She enabled WiFi and had no problems making/receiving calls at our house.
Sorry for thread drift.

A bit more thread drift.

I have my T-Mobile phone automatically shift from cellular to to WiFi when I'm at home. It works seamlessly. And if you're paying for each gb of data you're using, doing this will save you money. I just checked my phone and I've used less than 1gb of cellular data this month. At the same time, I've run almost 9.8gb of data through WiFi.
