Following behind HRK...Randolph Engineering for work and Costa's for the lake and the woods.

I didnt quit wearing Rayban's because of the POTATUS but rather 15 years back I switched to Costa's because the blue light reduction in so much better than Rayban P's. I went to Randolph's standard lenses (pilot buddy of mine turned me on to them) because polarized lenses make reading cockpit panels difficult. I like the temple arms on them as well.

If you need to blame your change on something....that's a "you" thing but there are much better options than Rayban's for sure.

I will say one thing and that is that Biden is ALWAYS dressed well. I do not really pay attention to brand name clothing or accessories. Randolphs fit me well. My grandfather was a tailor and I do appreciate fine tailor made suits.

Take a couple of minutes and see if you can find some other things you can compliment him about.

Just who do you think wants to hear you pay compliments to this America-destroying imbecile?

I have four pairs of Ray Bans and one pair of Wayfarers. Some of them date back to the late 1960s. I don't have a problem with Biden copying my taste in sunglasses. Big Grin

I've worn aviator style glasses intermittently since 1970. My current sunglass rotation includes a pair of Randolph Aviators. I've already warned my wife that any asshole who makes a Biden reference will probably not appreciate my response.

You admonished us to be think how we would like to be spoken to if we made a remark that fell flat. Would you like to spoken to as you spoke to ZSMICHEAL?

I like the Randolph’s, but had to give mine to my kid. I don’t like wearing contacts and Randolph can’t make their lenses in a prescription. It’s a shame because I really like the bayonet temples.

I used to wear Ray Bans aviators but I don't think they look as good on me as they did when I was younger.
I did just get a pair of prescription Wayfarers.

"Some things are apparent. Where government moves in, community retreats, civil society disintegrates and our ability to control our own destiny atrophies. The result is: families under siege; war in the streets; unapologetic expropriation of property; the precipitous decline of the rule of law; the rapid rise of corruption; the loss of civility and the triumph of deceit. The result is a debased, debauched culture which finds moral depravity entertaining and virtue contemptible."

I used to wear Bausch & Lomb Ray-Ban Ambermatics full time. But, now I need prescription glasses.

I loved those glasses.

Now, do you have any more questions for me?

First and foremost, FJB has always been a poser. OK the clothes, the Vette, the RayBans, the endlesss made up stories, it's all superficial image with the transparent buffoon. So yeah, he sullied the Ray Ban brand for me, I can't help but associate the two.

They do try to polish the turd that is our President, but he just looks like a feces stained relic somebody dressed in fancy duds. The aviator's are a particularly irritating accessory...Joe's about as cool as syphilis.

How long have the aviator style glasses been around? I really have no idea but I wore them a lot back in the 70's and then just got tired of them. Haven't wore them since.

I despise POTATUS as much as anybody here, but I won't live my life enslaved to the fashion choices of those I don't like.

As for glasses, I wear wrap-arounds - currently a pair of Maui Jims in my car, and a pair of Wiley-X in my truck (I just leave them in the vehicles so I never have to worry about forgetting them).

Now, if the guy sitting in the Oval Office decided to wear 'my' glasses, it wouldn't affect me one bit.

I've come to the conclusion that life is too short to over-think such things. If I 'boycotted' everything that a liberal/leftists had anything to do with, I would very shortly run out of places to eat and products to buy. So, as much as I don't like how they are trending, I watch Disney shows and Star Trek (Disco and Strange New Worlds - I don't like the other new shows).

I understand the passions and sentiments involved, of course, but I won't criticize somebody for having a different approach than me.

We buy stuff because of influencers, whether real people or make-believe. How many PPKs were bought because of James Bond? So if we can be influenced to buy, why can't we be influenced in the opposite and NOT buy?

For me probably the most notable 'no sale' was about two decades ago with a very nice condition white Ford Bronco that spent most of its life in SoCal and Arizona, recently arrived in WA and at a reasonable price. It was in great shape but the ribbing and jokes that would follow if I had bought the rig...well, that wasn't going to happen. We all draw a line at some point, no fault of the product itself but of the person who made one of these infamous, and the rest the butt of jokes. So instead I took the money and bought another Porsche, which I still own to this day.

BTW I've never really liked the Aviator look. When it came to Ray-Bans, I was more a Wayfarer guy. Wink

I have no idea. I'm not at all interested in a seven dot six five caliber pistol, but I have been looking for a Glock 7 ever since I saw "Die Hard." They're really hard to find. Maybe I should post a WTB ad here in the SIGforum Classified section.
