A 4 minute Chevy commercial that may hit you in the feels...
ImpalaGuy, thats a beauty! Does it have the vacuum gauge mounted in the console?
And could that be a Caprice 9C1 with the LT1 parked in the background?

What a lovely car. Beautiful color and contrast with the white. Thanks for posting.

I'm sorry if I hurt you feelings when I called you stupid - I thought you already knew - Unknown

The 4-minute version is fantastic. Remember the opening scenes of Up?

Thanks and good eye! That's a 1996 Impala SS in the background.

My 66 didn't come with the console gauges but I have a set. Just need to get around to installing them.

ImpalaGuy, that '66 made me smile just looking at it. I bet your head just about cracks in half with the smile of driving it!

Apology for thread drift, but I have a 1966 Chevy Impala Christmas story:
The 66 has a cavernous trunk. Huge. I was with my HS buddy when his Father gave us 50 bucks to go and buy the family Christmas tree. $50 would have kept us in gas money for quite a while in those days so my buddy devised a plan to get a tree and keep the money for ourselves. The plan was for me to drive to a large Christmas tree lot (held in an abandoned drive-in movie property) with my buddy lying in the trunk and when I spotted a suitable tree, I would signal him and he would lean out of the trunk, grab the tree and we would escape before the staff could respond. To a teenage mind, the plan seemed flawless. We set it up and I cruised the lot. When I spotted a suitable tree, I backed up to the tree and my buddy yelled he had it! Problem: I had failed to see the selected tree was in fact roped to a long row of trees and my buddy was grabbing them all. I stood on the gas pedal. My buddy was jerked out of the trunk like he was fired out of an ejection seat. The trip out of the trunk and subsequent fall knocked the wind (and my showering him with gravel was not helpful either) out of him. This enabled the tree lot staff (a Boy Scout Troop) to respond and thoroughly kick his ass. As the trunk slammed shut, I was faced with a moral dilemma. Should I go back for him? Or make good my escape? I went with escape! I drove to a nearby diner and ate a cheeseburger and waited for the heat to die down. About an hour later, I found my buddy, looking quite the worse for wear walking along the road. After picking him up, I asked if he was pissed that I had abandoned him. He said "nope, I would have done the same thing". Thats good friendship!
We ended up buying a Christmas tree legitimately.
Happy Holidays.

If you liked that commerical, you'll probably like this short film/documentary sponsored by Chevy about a man reunited w/ his 1965 Impala SS.

Good commercial Chevy. Now please try to make some good cars again. Chevy makes nothing similar to the vehicle in this commercial. This commercial unintentionally highlights how shitty their brand has become compared against the truly iconic vehicles it produced in the past.

It’s a great commercial for what Chevy used to be.
