You know, I have had guns in my house for more than 70 years. Never, in all that time, have I had one of them just decide to get violent.

Guns, like cars, boat, airplanes, etc etc etc are inanimate objects and can do nothing on their own!

Therefore, by definition, guns can not get violent!

But then that assumes the panty waist, safe space morons and semi-literate "reporters" actually have brain power to think.

There used to be a gun-cam website that did nothing but supply on going video of a gun on a table. It was being watched, just to see if it ever went violent, or harmed anyone on it's own. I wonder what ever happened to that site.

ETA: Yeah, I found it at http://montego.roughwheelers.com/gun_cam.html

After the recent attack in NY, I'm expecting news channels to air town hall talks on "Truck Violence".

In 1990 87 people were killed in New York city by one person in one night in one location. Most people have no idea what I am talking about when I mention it because a gun was not used.
The person who did this did it because he was pissed of at an ex girl friend. He went to her place of employment and killed 87 people. If memory serves me correct she survived. Her place of employment was the Happy Land Social Club.
The way he did it was to buy one dollar of gasoline pour it down the steps of the night club she worked at and lit it. The reason he used gas from what I remember was he knew he could not buy a gun.
This is just another case of how sick evil people kill buy any means.
Why is it when we have a mass murder of people and a gun is not used no one remembers. I know because it does not fit the liberal agenda.
What I do not understand is why pro 2nd amendment TV/radio host never use this as an argument that it is not the device used but the person. This was a sad event and I would never want to make light of this tragic event however it just shows when a person is set on killing people they will use anything they can.

I think we do need to have a conversation.

What they want is to have a lecture.

No thanks.

That's probably one of the truest statements I've read on this topic.

. And Trucker Violence too. Just had 1 pissed off driver fire 2 rounds at another, in a northern Kentucky truck stop. One hit to the arm. He then offed himself in his truck. TV was there focused like a laser. They got it covered.

"Some things are apparent. Where government moves in, community retreats, civil society disintegrates and our ability to control our own destiny atrophies. The result is: families under siege; war in the streets; unapologetic expropriation of property; the precipitous decline of the rule of law; the rapid rise of corruption; the loss of civility and the triumph of deceit. The result is a debased, debauched culture which finds moral depravity entertaining and virtue contemptible."

The problem is it’s very easy to try and “Fix” or address an inanimate object. It’s MUCH harder to address the issue of violent PEOPLE and or the factors that drove them there.

Sure there are the outliers (the terrorists, the mentally unstable/off their drugs/high profile incidents) but the real meat of the matter is there are segments of Society do not value life, peace, courtesy etc. They live by a culture of violence. This is the problem.
