Qty 4: 20lb Bags available online as their special. $79.99 plus applicable taxes, shipping included.

Learned about this special last year from the forum, and got through the last year on the total 80lbs. Very consistent burn and heat.

Time for a restock!

I just ordered this. It's a bit more expensive than Frontier brand I buy at BJs, but it's shipped. I'm assuming you guys like this stuff. I just hope it's not so big I can't fit it under my vortex in the kettle. But mainly I'll use it as a base in my offset smoker. I just joined Costco a week ago for the inexpensive prime brisket.

These go to eleven.

Picked up 4 15. Lb bags of Royal Oak lump charcoal a few months back at Walmart for $10 a bag.

It has worked well. Will need to get more soon.

I started off using the KJ charcoal and it burns long, lights easily, and lasts. However, it's made from 3 different South American hard woods, and one of them has a bitter flavor (not sure which one), but if you got a nerf football sized chunk of the bitter one I found it imparted a bitter taste for those 2-3 cooks. I switched to B+B oak charcoal and like the taste a lot better and it has a good variety of pieces and size and lasts almost as long as the KJ charcoal and is around the same price at Ace.

Anyone seen this shipped yet? My order is still showing "received" and the pending charge has been removed from my credit card.

I like the 100% Oak ones, and the KJ isn't that - using cheaper filler hardwoods.

I regularly find 100% Oak bags for, effectively, the same price as this deal, just in 15lb bags ($13-15/ea).

Ordered Sunday (3/21) and got shipping info on Friday (3/26) that 2 packages were ready for pick up by FedEx. Not actually in transit yet.
