I enjoyed that! Thanks for posting. It brought back a lot of memories. I was in junior high and high school during his prime. He gets a lot of credit for his uppercut (rightfully so), but his body blows and counter punches tended to be what set-up the massive uppercut. It was a lot of years before I enjoyed watching boxing and that was Roy Jones Jr. Several more years before I enjoyed boxing again and it was Manny Pacquiao. MMA never interested me, and I haven't seen a boxing match since I left Alaska in '14. What I remember about real boxing was in the late sixties through the seventies. The Saturday wide world of sports boxing matches on ABC where something to behold. There was never anything later that compared other than some of the Olympics for a few years later to me. Many here are too young to remember any of that. That was great. Many I hadn't seen. Dude was so powerful.... that back and those arms, shiiit, like a human-with dual jackhammers on a swivel, poor Franz walked right into it.  Also, he's (as the video reminded us many times) definitely not from Brooklyn, but about 2hrs north in Catskill, upsate NY. | |||

A customer of mine has the Ferrari Testarossa that once belonged to Tyson. He bought it at auction after Iron Mike went bankrupt. I've gotten to sit in it but never been for a ride. The guy lives 2 miles off of the pavement on a dead end dirt road and has to trailer it out to take a spin. __________________________ Writing the next chapter that I've been looking forward to. | |||

When Tyson punches he puts his entire upper body into it. He throws vary few "arm" punches, except maybe to set other fighters up for the power punches. Not a single advertisement for me. Even when they cover up Tyson hits that body to drop the hands and boom, uppercut. I remember multiple times going to a party where someone had the pay per view. Everyone would sit down, the fight would start and it was over. JC | |||

He fought professionally 14 times in 1985. That's an entire career for many of today's prima-donna's. I miss the boxing culture of 70's and 80's. | |||

^^ THIS ^^ The current heavyweight champ, Anthony Joshua, only had 8 pro fights before getting a title shot (became "champ" in 9th pro fight). His first 2 titles were vacant (i.e. there was no champion to defeat). His 3rd belt is the first he won from someone and it was a decision after 12 rounds. He only fought 2x per year the past 3 years. The other thing, he has been dodging the man, Tyson Fury, who holds the other belt and they're both UK citizens. I remember watching him blow through the ranks, pay per view, the one against Buster Douglas is the one I remember the most. I taped it, it was on HBO, my neighbor in our dorm was having a party, I couldn’t believe it, I brought the tape to the party and nobody could believe it either. Still, to this day, I think he was the best fighter when in his prime ever. Thanks Para, that was a sweet 40 minutes! | |||

With all due respect I beg to differ. His fights with Donovan Razor Ruddock showed that Mike Tyson can take hard hits from a major heavyweight that would knock out many past and present heavyweight fighters. Yet Mike was able to take it and dish it back. If I remember correctly in their last fight Mike Tyson hit Ruddock so hard that Ruddock had to be hospitalized after the fight with broken ribs and orbital sockets. God Bless
