Goodwood is an estate, hosting the annual Festival of Speed.

I am going to be flying in one of those next Friday (the 15th, Battle of Britain Day) and taking the controls.

How cool to own one tho, if I only had the wherewithal.

I would say someone got a hell of a deal, 3.8 million.
A 1963 Ferrari 250 sold for 70 million. Very few of each.

"Goodwood Circuit is a historic venue for both two- and four-wheeled motorsport in the United Kingdom. The 2.367-mile circuit is situated near Chichester, West Sussex, close to the south coast of England, on the estate of Goodwood House, and completely encircles Chichester/Goodwood Airport."

The rain appears to be a mixed blessing with the UK heatwave. Exciting racing for sure.

I was touring the countryside in a rented Rover in 2000, stopped at a water powered pump station museum near Chichester and asked the tour guide why all the vintage cars on the road. He told me about Goodwood and I headed there immediately. Great day of racing and the highlight of my trip. Danny Sullivan in a Cobra Daytona coupe beat John Surtees in a 1964 Ferrari race car in the feature race. There was an airshow celebrating the anniversary of the Battle of Britain also.

That would attract me to England more than visiting my brother.

It's amazing how relatively simple the interior of the cockpit looked.
