Cold gun, summer heat and a squirrel…
Nailed a squirrel yesterday with a Gamo pellet rifle. The little bastard had discovered he could jump from the GROUND onto the squirrel baffle on the feeder pole and climb to the feeders.

Head shot from 35 feet. AMF squirrel.

When facing potentially deadly adversaries, one's primary weapon should always have its red dot sight backed up by easy to see irons.

Coarse crosshair reticles are recommended for close quarters with fast moving targets.

I have found that using optics for close-in shots less than satisfactory because of the optic to barrel offset.

I prefer open sights under 50 feet. Even my thermal is useless under a certain distance.

I shot a gopher a few weeks ago with it and it was major low at the 20 feet range I hit him with, so instead of a head shot it went through his lungs and he took off under the house.

This asshole is going to get open sights with a bolt action when I get home.
