Thank God for threads like this. Reminds me I need to keep my cool in all situations. I'd like to say I'd snap a license plate pic and pull over, but I think I'd probably chase him too (at a distance) until cops arrive. Jesse Sic Semper Tyrannis

No need for a picture. They obviously have a dashcam or other recording device capturing the entire incident, and they were close enough to read the plate. I was talking about if I were in a similar situation. Not sure from cell phone at which point they had clear plate pic, but wherever that is, is where I'd disengage. Or at a minimum follow 50 yrds+ back until police arrive, if safe. Point was I need reminders every now and then, no matter how pissed off you are, don't endanger yourself or loved ones over it. It is so easy to get wrapped up in the moment and make a bad decision. Jesse Sic Semper Tyrannis

I agree with the overall thrust of your point about disengaging, but I didn't see evidence of the Jetta driver "road raging" or anything remotely approaching a direct causality of the Tahoe driver hitting the bike because of something the Jetta did. But yes, Jetta dude should have disengaged at the first sign of an issue, instead he chose to call 911 and get plate/driver info. Then, it looks like to me the Tahoe started really getting reckless, hitting the Jetta and not letting them disengage (he slowed down to match them, then sped up to match them trying to get away). Jetta driver didn't hit anyone and wasn't trying to force anyone off the road either. Tahoe 95% responsible Jetta 4% Biker 1% because his pipes weren't loud enough (loud pipes save lives!) “People have to really suffer before they can risk doing what they love.” –Chuck Palahnuik Be harder to kill: https://preparefit.ck.page

It’s not good to rely on a dash cam 100%. Once I thought I had video of a trucker running a car off the road in front of me, but when I went to review the video the SIM card was cooked from the summer heat so no video. ——————————————— The fool hath said in his heart, There is no God.
