How many of you have had the "limp bullets" dream? Common with gun afficionados. You find yourself in an SD situation. Usually multiple opponents. You stand and deliver, getting off many rounds on target, you shooting fool. But no-one falls down. The bullets come out with barely enough velocity to clear the muzzle, obviously having no effect on the bad guys. In some dreams your guns don't fire at all. Here's the weird one on me: I was into traditional martial arts long before I started shooting guns. So in my limp-fist dreams my counter-attacks have no effect. My hands and feet are like putty, with almost no impact-force. I can barely make a fist at all; the most I can muster is a strained knife-hand, which at least has some effect and is my only hope. Weird these coincidences.

I have the same dream, except it's always a history class.

I get the "unprepared for the final" dream now and then.
My friend was telling me recently of something similar, where his high school informs him he has to come back and retake his senior yr. He's 48 and and graduated college.
I had a period where I was dreaming of having to shoot but the trigger would get really heavy. I would squeeze really hard and get nothing. Like a trigger stop was too far forward.
For some reason my martial arts dreams had no problems. They worked quite well.

Mine are all high speed chase dreams. Which seems strange, given all the gore my career exposed me to. End of Earth: 2 Miles Upper Peninsula: 4 Miles

That one's easy: high speed chases probably pose the greatest risk to you personally. I think the gore you saw was mostly responding to stuff that already went down. I imagine driving a high-mileage, run-hard-and-put-away-wet CVP at high speed is a nightmare all to itself! -------------------------- Every normal man must be tempted, at times, to spit on his hands, hoist the black flag, and begin slitting throats. -- H L Mencken I always prefer reality when I can figure out what it is. -- JALLEN 10/18/18

I've read that there are hieroglyphics in Egyptian tombs that depict having a dream where one appears in public naked. _________________________ “Remember, remember the fifth of November!"

I have that one, but it isn't me who is naked. It is Scarlett Johansson. The fish is mute, expressionless. The fish doesn't think because the fish knows everything.

I want this dream too!

My recurring dream is that it is the end of the semester and exam time. That's when I find out I had signed up for 2 other classes I never attended and have no idea where they are located. Living the Dream

I have that dream, but it always takes place in school. That and I can't remember my locker combination. Living the Dream

I have that same "unprepared for final exam for a class you forgot to attend all semester" quite frequently. I interpret it to mean that I'm unprepared for something that is upcoming at work, a presentation or plan. ___________________ Company, villainous company hath been the spoil of me.

I am a "me too". Not often, but every once in a while I dream of an exam that I am not ready for. I went to college decades ago and it was hard. Most of the classes were graded on a curve and only the top 10% got an A. There was quite a bit of competition for grades, especially from the pre-Meds. Not all, but some of the courses only had a mid term exam and a final exam. That was it. So if you did poorly on either one, your grade was bad. Professors typically didn't take attendance and they didn't care if you came to class or not. It was a high pressure environment. I think college today is very different.

I have a variation on that one. I desperately need to shoot something (not necessarily self-defense) and I can NOT find ammo to fit the gun. I have a drawer full of random rounds and can't find anything that fits the gun I have in my hand. Be careful when following the masses. Sometimes the M is silent.

My reoccurring dream is similar, but it's a PE class I never went to. It's time for me to graduate, but I realize I forgot to drop that class, so that fail is going to keep me from graduating. I then run around in a panic trying to go through all the necessary paperwork to try and retroactively get that class expunged from my transcript. This dream has gotten down to maybe once every 2-3 years, but it always gets me. Like, I can never realize it's that same dream until I wake up. By the way, that dream where you walk into a class with a midterm taking place that you forgot about happened to me in real life with Probability & Statistics in college, and yeah, that sucked. Luckily, I did remember to drop that class.
Would you be prepared if gravity reversed itself? The only thing I can't figure out is how to keep the change in my pockets. I've got it - nudity.

Same college dream . I have also had the dream I’m back in the Army.

This is a common dream with Georgia Tech grads that I know. It may be a class that you thought you dropped or it may be that you just slept through the exam after a night of cramming, but the theme is similar. I had it once or twice pretty soon after graduating but not in a long time. I have another recurring dream but I do not know what it is. I know it while I am dreaming it, but I do not remember the content when I awake. I'm gonna vote for the funniest frog with the loudest croak on the highest log.

Good enough is neither good, nor enough |
I have a similar recurring dream. I have finals but missed the class all semester. This is ironic as I only missed one class in college including grad school and I was in the hospital. I also have dreams where I am protecting myself with a glock and the trigger is always jacked up and doesn’t work. I have no clue why.... There are 3 kinds of people, those that understand numbers and those that don't.

I used to have this dream, but instead of Scarlett Johansson, it's Annette Funicello. I may be a lot older than you guys. -------------------------- Every normal man must be tempted, at times, to spit on his hands, hoist the black flag, and begin slitting throats. -- H L Mencken I always prefer reality when I can figure out what it is. -- JALLEN 10/18/18

Yup, I get that one too, but Navy for me of course. There are two variations of it. In the first, I'm called back to practice some good old fashioned Navy Chief Motivational Techniques on millennial sailors. Very satisfying, but a little disturbing to see myself as a CPO but at my actual current age. The other is where I'm reporting for another (seems like my third or fourth) tour in Iceland. I effing HATED my tour in Iceland...(Good job, miserable personal situation, unaccompanied) Be careful when following the masses. Sometimes the M is silent.

My variation of it is where the trigger is super heavy and I can’t manage to pull it or if I do I can’t hit squat because of it. Had this dream many times. God, Guns, and Guts made this country....let's keep all three
