Trash.

The agent(s) inform the passenger they are not going to fly, if the passenger gets out of line, the agent(s) call security and let them handle it.

There is no call to act like schoolyard bullies, taunting and instigating.

Anyone with a modicum of intellect knows this is one of those things that are an extreme emotional event, where every average person may feel completely helpless in the moment.

With "nowhere to run"- "fighting" is the natural response.

It takes deliberate effort for a person to learn to recognize and control one's emotions in such a situation.

That does not give the passenger a right to be ugly, but the employees should have training and policy to not step over the line of their domain. Even if he was unaware of the charge, my opinion is the agents could have handled this better in the beginning and not let a customer spin up for 20 minutes.

I am betting the agents had the authority to wave a measly $25 and send the passenger on his way.

These trashy people had zero self control and made deliberate effort to belittle and harass a customer of their employer.

They were rightly terminated.

Regardless of all of this, the "public" that flies is going to take a whole lot of "$25" out of Frontier's piggy bank, one passenger at a time.

There are many accusations of the gate agents shaking down passengers for cash.

There is absolutely no way the passenger started it. They had to have antagonized him right from the start.

Here's one where they got caught.

If this is one of their paths to increasing margins, I'd hate to see what they are doing for cost savings in maintenance. I'd be too scared to fly with them.

Guy did not check-in on time. I’ve flown enough to see a few passengers try to skirt by the airline’s rules. Guy should have invoked “But I am French and I have how you say, a teaket!” The other passengers with tickets managed to get on the plane, so this guy was special.

Gate agents are well aware of passenger shenanigans and should be able to handle them professionally which these agents did not. The agents got what they deserved.

Frontier Check-In

TIME TO CHECK-IN
We don't want you to miss your flight!
For most flights, you can check in on the Frontier app starting 24 hours before your flight's scheduled departure time. You must have your boarding pass and have any bags checked in by the below cutoff times before departure:

60 minutes (domestic flights)
60 minutes (international flights)
If you fail to check-in or to board your flight within the required time (check-in: 60 minutes prior to scheduled departure time; boarding: 20 minutes prior to scheduled departure time), your ticket will be deemed a No-Show Cancellation and cancelled. All subsequent flights, including return flights, on the itinerary, will also be treated as No-Show Cancellations. Please reference the Contract of Carriage for more details.

That is the polite clinical term when a white collar guy gets upset. These folks at the airline have earned the POS or TRASH moniker.

I had to fly Frontier once. I was on a business trip in Dallas and was needed in Denver the next day. The company booked it and it was the only way to get me there. The fees I racked up from the time I stepped into the gate area until I deplaned in Denver exceeded the price of my ticket. You pay for EVERYTHING. I actually expected to have to insert a quarter into a slot for cabin air vents to work or your overhead light to come on for 10 minutes.

Flight attendants had the same attitude as these ladies did. "Wha choo want?" "Ya'll gotta pay for dat, K?". Small bottle of water $5, little bag of nuts, $2.

I saw at least 3 people board without shoes... just socks. A few had garbage bags wrapped in tape for their carry on.

Back to Delta...... never again. EVER.

Pay the $25 fee or don't pay the fee. There should be no ghetto circus.
