My old-ish Samsung Galaxy A14 doesn't support IR.

I'd like to be able to scan around doors/windows for air leaks without spending a bunch of money.

In this case, "inexpensive" is defined as less than $100

Doable?

How about free?
Most utility companies will come to your home and do a free energy audit.
It's worth a phone call.

This is outside your budget but what I would recommend. You can get it for android or apple devices. We have been using them at work for a handy, low cost, low training requirement, tool for the floor techs so we don’t have to keep sending a specially trained tech with 14K of IR equipment for the little issues.

The cheapest Android models I could find with recent sales were about $135. After trying out a few models to check insulation in the house, I ended up with the Ampbank M256 currently on sale for $150. The Foxwell RT100 is very similar but more expensive.

Interesting, thanks. I've found some used ones on Ebay that are much cheaper but you gets what you pays for...if you're lucky. I'll see how the ol' budget pans out later this month.
