Good question. I remember Cheney was supposed to lose his after 6 months after leaving office but it was extended at least once. Given that the VP loses theirs, I'd be willing to bet that an unconfirmed advisor not in line of succession to POTUS would not get SS protection. Also, presidential advisor is not on the list of protectees on SS' website.

Might be one reason that she's shacking up with the 0dumbos.
