In Minneapolis, Minnesota, a shooting that occurred early last week made national headlines. Not because any innocents were hurt, mind you, but because Ben Crump, civil rights attorney and notorious race baiter, decided it was a matter for BLM to protest against since a black man was killed by police.

Crump remarked: “This is Tekle Sundberg. Minneapolis Police Department killed this smart, loving & artistic 20-year-old after an hours-long standoff while he was experiencing a mental health crisis. We need ANSWERS from MPD as to why Tekle’s mental health crisis became a death sentence!” Crump then called for a vigil to be held in Sundberg’s honor.

Here are the facts of the case.

Andrew “Tekle” Sundberg shot through the walls of his apartment intending to kill his neighbors — Arabella Foss-Yarbrough and her two young children. The 911 call transcript shows that Foss-Yarbrough was sheltering with her children on the floor of her apartment. She said that she did not know her neighbor except by sight and that he had made unwelcome advances toward her from time to time, which she ignored. Foss-Yarbrough wondered if that was why he attacked them. She also told the 911 operator that she was a licensed gun carrier and asked if she should shoot back, to which the operator advised her not to. Several more shots were fired until she and her children were rescued by police. The standoff between law enforcement and Sundberg lasted six hours. During that time, both the police and Sundberg’s family tried to convince him to surrender. He ignored them. The standoff ended when police snipers killed Sundberg.

All new sources report that Sundberg was having a mental health crisis at the time of his murderous shooting rampage, but Ben Crump decided it was another case of a black life that didn’t matter to the Minneapolis police. He instigated a rally and vigil outside the apartment building. To those BLM activists, Sundberg seemed like an intriguing new hero for their pantheon of martyrs. That all came crashing down when the actual victim of Sundberg’s madness, Arabella Foss-Yarbrough, confronted the protesters.

Foss-Yarbrough was completely outraged by the rally and yelled at the protesters to “go home.” She said this was “not a George Floyd situation” and that Sundberg had shot at her “two black kids.” Her outrage was not met with any sort of sympathy from the activists. The reactions ranged from dismissal (one protester said “you’re alive,” as if to imply that her survival makes Sundberg’s crime no big deal) to aggressive denial (she was told to “shut up” and that she was “a liar”).

More in article, read it.

My favorite line: "The BLM activists have gone largely silent since Foss-Yarbrough’s outburst at their rally. "

Charge Crump with inciting a riot and whatever else can be thrown at him. Give him a reason to pause the next time he thinks his baiting is warranted.

And, how many participants at this rally, would identify as middle to upper-class whites?

They seem to be the most enthusiastic and vocal of the protest participants.

Not to pile on, but I know there are members here who are black. It makes me wince when I read stuff like you posted recoatlift. I think you should consider the difference between race and culture/ideology. Spend some time with the concept and work bigotry out of your character, brother. And I do say this as a brother.

Black community/African American community has always had race baiters, opportunists, those that feign support and that they are all about making the community better, safer but they don't give one shit about the people, they just want the press, fame and money that hustling race brings.

Enter Jesse Jackson and Al Sharpton. NEITHER of which have worked an honest (literally and figuratively) day in their ENTIRE lives...

re: recoatlift

Idiots exist in all colors - we on this forum speak quite openly about many WASPs that are destructive to our freedom, such as Hillary, Biden, Warren etc etc.

How about Clarence Thomas? Thomas Sowell? Allen West? Candace Owens? Are they to be labeled by your comment as well?

I grew up with blacks in the old neighborhood of Grand Crossing Park, Chicago. I am jaded by history.

I hope your experiences are not like mine.

The sign on the shot-up door says ."308", but I am not convinced. Wink

When I watched replays of the #BLM shoutdown by the homeowner, I couldn 't really hear the back and forth.
Is there a website that has a transcript to read?

Let's call it what it is: You are bigoted as a result of your personal history.

You might want to think about working on that.

I'll tell you again: If you have something you want to say, then just come out and say it. I don't want to see any more of these silly remarks like "The American Negro".

You'd better figure it out.

How much of the rest of your life do you want those asshole kids to take away from you? How many more decisions do you want to let them make for you, given that their judgement obviously sucks?

That is nothing but a sorry excuse. I grew up in an area with a lot of races other than Caucasian. Busing to integrate schools, not walking the halls alone at school if you were a white kid...

If you do not like the way you grew up, then grow out of it. You are doing nothing but continuing the racism.

In late 2016, Carter made statements critical of the Black Lives Matter movement, saying, "I don't feel connected to a damn thing that ain't got nothin' to do with me. If you do, you crazy as shit," adding that his status as a wealthy black man who has white fans is evidence that black people are valued in the United States.[208]
