I was in church this morning and...

My phone beeped once.

It was a notification of a message received.

It was a picture of an ultrasound from my daughter in law.

Me: Details? She: Call after church.

Phone call after church. Son gives phone to our oldest granddaughter.

My granddaughter and her husband are having a baby in August. Their first.

Our first great grand baby

Gonna celebrate. New gun or new watch? Watch is 10 times more than the gun. Decisions decisions

Congratulations! We had our first grandchild, a girl, turned two in December. She’s been an absolute joy and a hoot to boot. There’s something different and special about grandchildren!

Personally, I feel like it's the parents responsibility to provide for the kid's future, not grand- or great grandparents, so I say go nuts and buy what you like. My $.02. This is most likely the result of not having kid's, so...

In any case, congratulations on the newest addition to the family. May all be healthy and happy.

And, the watch will also allow you to tell your wife that you are running late for a visit. The watch also is needed for any church visits, such as a baptism, so you look presentable.

341 miles one way to their present home, at our age I fear trips won't be too frequent. I can do it but my wife can't.

My son in law just retired as a CFP (etc) and we are preparing to set the baby up for his/her 18th birthday.
