hvyhawlerGot a new toy, an ATV. It's scaring me a bit...
I don't know how old you are or what experience you have. Me I would ride it just the way it is. Go slow, get used to it, dont do anything stupid. It looks like a fine machine to me. Wear the tires out, get new ones. Just drive it to your abilities and you will be fine...

frayedendsIt did come with a plow. A Warn 54” plow setup. My first winter here with the plow or the snowblower on my Deere X350. I’ll have them both ready and see which works better. The Auad has hand and thumb warmers. So it may win.

mrvmaxI’m not playing down those who know people who were killed on Atv’s but as grown men I think we are capable of the minimal risk lifting an atv causes. Reading through this thread you’d think we are talking about wingsuit flying here. There are thousands of videos on YouTube of people safely operating lifted atv’s and in the last four years not once have I had a close call. Ride like an adult and you’ll most likely be fine, yes, you could have an accident but my guess is you’re more likely to have one driving your car than driving your lifted atv.

SBrooksLooks like it'd be great for mudding. Maybe not quite as good for hill climbing. Go slow and figure it out with hours spent riding and you should be good.

frayedendsWell the hill issue is now a non issue. My neighbors were out with their ATVs and one neighbor just showed us a path he made into the lower woods. It is through his yard. He had to knock down an old stone farm wall (they are everywhere in Massachusetts) to get through. They took me on a ride to tons of trails I didn't even know existed. There is a swamp that is low now also. Maybe my mud tires aren't a bad thing after all. I just had the best half hour of my life without anything scary. Now I'm super excited.

YooperSigsA friend of mine on an ATV hit a deer. Twice, as in two separate deer on the same ride.

Well if that happens I’ll be dragging venison and cherry wood up to the smoker.
