I’m with Ensigmatic on this one. I’m not angry about anything Nike does. Krapernick can go shit in his hat as far as I’m concerned.

No, this, for me, is more about pushing back against the ever-widening scope of what the leftists are declaring hateful at worst or insensitive at the least. It was in an article linked here or on another forum that the Betsy Ross flag is being used by “right wing extremists” that really made me scratch my head. These clowns want to erase our history because they don’t like it, so everything they try to wipe away, I’m going to push back against. If someone wants to laugh at me for flying some flags from our history because of it, hey, have at.

So nobody at Nike or even Krapperdick has claimed that Betsy Ross herself is a symbol of slavery or racism. The "objection" is that the flag she designed is offensive because it is a symbol of the country from a time when slavery was legal. So what Nike is basically saying is the the Declaration of Independence, the Constitution and the Bill of Rights, and any other symbol of the nation from the Revolutionary era are equally offensive. I would love to see to try to explain themselves out of that predicament.
